      As a point of order, I've lately been reminded of a case before SCOTUS in 1875...Minor vs Happersett.  First and foremost, the case was not about natural born citizenship.  It was about a US citizen-woman's right to vote under to US Constitution and was brought before the court by Virginia Minor.  
     In the opinion rendered by SCOTUS--which went against Minor--the subject of native and natural born citizen was alluded to in the final SCOTUS decision.  However, it was by no means complete.  CJ Waite said so most definitively in his opinion.  Those who don't like Cruz use only a portion of Waite's opinion to prove their point.  Here is the "rest of the story."

     Then Chief Justice Morrison Waite wrote..."Exploring the common-law origins of citizenship, the court observed that "new citizens may be born or they may be created by naturalization" and that the Constitution "does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens."   Under the common law, according to the court, "it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners."[12] The court observed that some authorities "include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents"—but since Minor was born in the United States and her parents were U.S. citizens, she was unquestionably a citizen herself, even under the narrowest possible definition, and the court thus noted that the subject did not need to be explored in any greater depth.[13]

BJ3: As regular readers know, we’ve long been saying “Never happen”. A couple questioned our patriotism.
They did not understand that: a) it will never lead to conviction b) never to “null and void” c) the repugnicaves don’t want it...and a bunch more not worth going into now. Believe us now???

BJ3; Yep...and now he definitely has “standing” and in a perfect position to request BHO’s proof of eligible authority to do this, specifically his own, actual, at birth, authentic, valid, rightly-certified, original, Hawaiian Birth Certificate document, the one and only one that he acknowledged when he reportedly had it sealed and vaulted. Still, he might quietly cut a deal not to do so if they let the case dump.
