Greek Anti Fascists Confront Nazi Merkel!

60 years after the defeat of Fascist Europe by the democratic western alliance and the communist Soviet Union it did not take long for Europe to return to its primitive political pendulum: Communism or Fascism. All the ingredients of national socialism and fascism (supranationalism, corporatism, Statism, anti parliamentarianism, marginalisation of voters and consumers in favour of State and corporate privilege) returned with a vengeance as the hated “Anglo Saxon Democracy” tired and weakened.

Having driven the peoples of Europe to mass unemployment and destitution, having destroyed 28 countries, 28 constitutions, 28 parliaments and 28 democracies as well as 18 currencies and 18 central banks, the power defeated in 1945 now lords it over Europe – with totally predicted results.
The true nature of that power is clear from the nature of its opposition. The democratic sovereigntists – like the fascists – are present in every party and every country but they are weak in the face of the Corporatist/Fascist State. The Communists, whose analysis of fascism is always the most accurate, even as their solutions are the most objectionable, have been joined in Greece by a patriotic sovereignty party whose revulsion at German imperialism and European Fascism echoes the will of millions throughout Europe.
When the German Chancellor Merkel attacked those Germans who marched on the streets against the Islamisation of Europe as extremists and closet Nazis her description applied far more to herself than the decent Germans whose warnings took only a few days to bring their awful justification in the massacre by French Islamists in Paris.
Although it was Helmut Kohl (“might is right in politics and war”) who did more than any German to pick up the Nazis’ European policy – making common cause with Islamic fascists (as Hitler had with the Grand Mufti) encouraging blatantly fascist elements in Kosovo, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovakia to break up both Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia and ramming through the nation destroying Euro with its devastation of southern Europe – Merkel (a Kohl protege) has outdone him in her blind pursuit of German power and the eastward expansion of “German Europe”.
It was Merkel who while successfully undermining Ukraine and overthrowing its elected Government echoed the Nazis when she called the European Union “a community of fate in the globalised world” echoing the metaphysical “fate” so often called upon by the Nazis to justify their aggression not least Operation Barbarossa when Hitler invaded Ukraine (with 4 million Axis troops) over 70 years before Merkel’s latest venture!
In the face of the powerless European Democrats (even in the United Kingdom the buffoonish schoolboys Clegg, Cameron and Miliband make the 1930s appeasers of Fascism look like men of principle!) the opposition is most effectively led by the far left Syriza in Greece and by Vladimir Putin in Russia whose accusations of Fascism strike an ever greater cord with the powerless democrats in the EU.
In response to Syriza’s demands against the Greek “austerity” programs, the prison of the Euro and massive and un-payable debts – Jean-Claude Juncker the president of the European Commission said: “There can be no democratic choice against the European Treaties” thereby confirming the EU as a Fascist Dictatorship. For Juncker and Merkel not only mass unemployment and social degradation but the end of national democracies are all a “price worth paying” for the new fascist and expansionist empire.
Juncker was hand picked by Merkel as the next EU President in 2014. Even the otherwise naive Cameron had opposed him but Juncker has a very long history of supporting financial elites and corporatist politics as Prime Minister of the corporate tax haven from 1995 to 2013.
We must never forget how in 2011 the elected leaders in Italy & Greece who both opposed the “austerity” measures being imposed by the European Union and the (EU hijacked) IMF, were toppled by Brussels and replaced by unelected EU Technocrats.
It is not as if these countries were the author of their own downfall. Their collapse was mainly due to the disastrous Euro and the debts piled upon them by a Euro-elite “building Europe” for the profit of multinational corporations and Germany’s expansion Eastwards – all “built” on the desecration of national parliaments, national economies and the jobs of 25 million unemployed.
No wonder, that when in November 2014 A UN Human Rights Committee passed a Russian resolution condemning the glorification of Nazism and the denial of Nazi war crimes, the British, American and German peoples might care to wonder why their Governments could not vote for it! With rather too many of their corporate allies today being associated with the Fascist regimes of the 1940s and German Europe today looking rather similar to German Europe under Hitler Russia’s anti fascist stance was hitting a little too close to home.
According to Chancellor Merkel’s Foreign Minister Steinmeier “Germany should ‘lead Europe to lead the world’ and the hatred engendered throughout Europe by this arrogance is typically summarised by the Greek minister of  economics N. Christodoulakis in a letter of September 13th 2013 to Merkel:
“You eventually succumbed to the vulgar German populism that has always searched for nation-victims in order to justify its “superiority”.
The Hungarian Government has massive popular support at home against the new German hegemony but when asked about Hungary, Mrs Merkel said she
“would do everything to put Hungary in the right direction, but we won’t be sending in the cavalry straight away.”
To which the Hungarian leader Viktor Orban brought up the Second World War.
“The Germans have already sent cavalry to Hungary: they came in the form of tanks,”

Germany Continues to Wage War

Today of course Germany wages not physical military war but constitutional and economic war. While claiming to build a Europe without national interests Germany ruthlessly pursues its own nationalistic power. It rigs the Euro exchange rate to tip the terms of trade massively in the interests of German industry. It uses European regional development funds to re-build Eastern Germany. It changes the voting rules within the EU to make it impossible to challenge German policies. In the midst of massive Eurozone inequality Germany runs a budget surplus and has repeatedly succeeded in stopping the European Central Bank from loosening monetary policy even though the ECB has fallen further and further behind its constitutional requirement to keep inflation above 2%.
The Eurozone is now in that most dangerous position – deflation. Deflation (a general fall in prices) halts investment and purchases and drives recession as everyone holds off for ever lower prices. When so many of the Eurozone countries are also hideously indebted the fall in prices automatically raises their debts in proportion to earnings.
Since Germany has a corporatist fascist political class it has no reason to protect even its own people. The left the right and the centre, as in the UK, is a permanent conspiracy against its own people whose job is to serve the (eastward expanding) State and corporate profit.
The German Parity Social Welfare Association reported that “wage-earning poverty has reached a new record high of 15.2 percent” at the presentation of their “Poverty Report” in December 2013. The organisation noted “the dichotomy between poverty and wealth in Germany has significantly grown. … The Federal Republic of Germany has never been as deeply divided as it is at present.”
With mass immigration of Muslims, growing German poverty, growing privileges for big business and the corporatist hollowing out of the Democratic capitalism the Allies attempted to impose after 1945 not to mention the break down of national borders once protected by democratic parliaments no one could have better restored the evil conditions of fascist Europe.
It is fortunate that even the worst of the insurgent political parties in Europe do not (yet) exhibit the megalomaniac characteristics of a Hitler or a Mussolini.
The UK independence party in Britain is, as one would expect, the party closest to representing the anti fascist, anti-corporatist uprising in the most democratic form, although its leadership is intellectually weak and easily prone to attack from the fascist Left and corporatist right – unashamedly ascribing to UKIP their own evils!! But that is the fate of corporatist fascist societies – where the mass media have so long been corrupted by State/corporatist interest groups to ignore the democratic cry of their peoples.
