Durbin Concedes GOP Momentum in 2014 Elections

Dick Durbin has made a major revelation today.  As Newsmax reports, Durbin conceded today that the Republican Party has momentum that he and Senate Democrats may not be able to stop - and as a result, Democrats are poised to lose their majority in the U.S. Senate to the Republicans:

Here's an excerpt from the Newsmax report:

"...the threat of a Republican takeover of the chamber is becoming more real as outside conservative groups pour money into tight races....

"We're faced with a grim reality that more money is being spent earlier in some of these hot races than we've ever seen," Durbin said.  "We're spending some, but we can't keep up with them (the Republicans)."

It's long past time that Dick Durbin was ousted from the Senate.

When ObamaCare's constitutionality was challenged in the courts Durbin told Barack Obama he should push through ObamaCare even if the courts invalidated it as unconstitutional:

And now Dick Durbin is saying that it's not his fault that he lied to the American people when he told them that if ObamaCare passed - not to worry - they could keep their existing healthcare plan if they wanted.
Politico has reported that Durbin says the fact he promised Americans they could keep their healthcare plans is not his fault, because he really believed that would be the case, but now he knows better:

The number two Senate Democrat also acknowledged that he, in addition to President Barack Obama, told people that under the new law, if you like your plan, you can keep it.

 

"I said it because I believed it. Now I know that I should have added that for 98 percent of American people, that is exactly true. For the other two percent who are in the individual market, there are frequent changes in policies," Durbin said.
How despicable - Obama and Durbin told the lie to the American people that they could keep their existing plans even if ObamaCare passed, because that was the ONLY way to get the votes in Congress to pass it.  But conservative pundits and analysts pointed out at the time that this was hogwash - that the only way ObamaCare could function where millions of people got mandated healthcare coverage was if healthy, young Americans were forced into the ObamaCare system and made to pay much higher rates.
They lied to us, and now they are refusing to take any measure of accountability for their actions.  And that is just one more reason we must FIRE Dick Durbin and replace him with a Conservative Republican in the upcoming Midterm Elections.
