Common Core 3rd Grade Lesson – Fairness and Obey
By NC Citizen in Blog on November 1, 2013
Indoctrination disguised as instruction – a 3rd grade lesson on possessive nouns.
From Weasel Zippers:
3rd Grade Assignment
So third graders are learning:
-it is the President’s job to make everything fair
-the people must obey the commands of government officials
-the individual’s wants are less important than the nation’s well-being.

The answer key for this and other worksheets: r11_nl_en_LPI_t_g5u2w2.
Say it with me “We learn more with Common Core”
ah more what? More wrong information and indoctrination? Please use the
comments section if you have seen this worksheet or other examples of
wrong information in NC classrooms.
This
is Pearson Education, the global education powerhouse that enjoys our
tax dollars.
Pearson Education’s funding arm is Pearson Foundation,
member of Partnership for 21st Century Skills, and partner of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Together they have a goal to create Digital Learning Programs. Pearson received ~$3M grant from The Gates Foundation in 2011.
Just wait until this garbage goes digital and ends up on tablets used
in classrooms. Parents may never see the lessons and test questions. Who
will review the content to make sure it is accurate? This problem is
not limited to Pearson, there are many companies producing worksheets
and software that is Common Core aligned (think Amplify).
Please note this is not a new problem. From the Pearson worksheets we
don’t know the date they were produced. Perhaps this nonsense has been
in classrooms for years. We need to make sure the GA study committee is aware of this, you know what to do, please get involved.
