AMMO Act would limit DHS Bullet Purchases The Department of Homeland Security is looking for more ammunition. That’s right; on May 1, the DHS placed a purchase order for “reduced hazard training ammunition,” or “frangible” ammunition. The Department outlined their interest in wanting to order these rounds in over a dozen calibers for use in a variety of different weapons, namely handguns and shotguns.
