But what the NRSC email failed to mention however was that the very same Politico article stated: "Congressional leaders in BOTH PARTIES are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from" ObamaCare; and the article even mentioned John Boehner by name. That same article also quoted Boehner spokesman Michael Steel as saying: "If the speaker has the opportunity to save ANYONE from Obamacare, he will." [Emphasis Ours]
Of course, that was BEFORE Steel said: “The Speaker would like to see resolution of this problem, along with the other nightmares created by Washington Democrats’ health law, which is why he supports full repeal."
Such a level of mendacity is shocking even by Washington standards. After first rationalizing, and then denying, a report that John Boehner was plotting with Harry Reid to exempt Congress from ObamaCare, the NRSCcomes out and pretends to be our knight in shining armor.
Anyone want to bet that once this whole controversy simmers down that both sides will slither under their closed doors and start plotting ways to exempt themselves again.
Well... that's not going to happen. We're not going to let it happen....since Mr. Boehner is yet again claiming that he supports full repeal of ObamaCare... we're going to see to it that he finally keeps the promise.

Don't take our word for it. According to The Hill: "House Republicans are moving quickly on a new bill to strengthen ObamaCare's temporary insurance plan for people with pre-existing conditions."
"The Helping Sick Americans Now Act" (H.R. 1549), a measure that was being pushed by Republican Leaders, was introduced on the 15th, sailed through a Republican-controlled conference committee on the 19th and was scheduled for a quickie, stealth vote in the House until a group of conservative lawmakers raised a stink and temporarily killed it... but House Majority Whip Eric Cantor has vowed to reintroduce it next month.
You read that right... instead of repealing or defunding ObamaCare... the worms in Washington are trying to "fix it" and THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE.

 The real problem is that you'll pay MORE for LESS health care because the notion that ObamaCare will bring quality and affordable health care to all was always a lie. The real problem is that the health care plan you like and now enjoy at work will go bye-bye as more and more employers opt to simply pay a fine and dump you into the public pool. The real problem is that government pencil pushers will now decide what health care you receive... that's no longer a prediction, it's a reality. Seniors across America are already seeing the scripts that they need disappearing from the shelves or simply rise in cost beyond affordability. A Holocaust Is Coming… What Will You Do?

And Where Are The People Who Will Save Us From This Socialist Third World Nightmare?
Last month, a number of brave House Members tried to convince Speaker John Boehner to make the defunding of ObamaCare part of the Continuing Resolution to fund the government… you know… the government… that Leviathan that’s just too big to fail… but Boehner and our so-called Republican House Leaders would have nothing to do with such a commonsense request.
And no, it wasn't the first time that Mr. Boehner and our Republican leaders have REFUSED to defund ObamaCare.
When it was the Senate's turn, our Republican leaders offered an amendment to the Continuing Resolution to defund ObamaCare... an amendment they KNEW would fail... and once the amendment failed… theyTHEN voted to fund ObamaCare and more out-of-control government spending.
The bottom line is that our Republican leaders simultaneously curse and then fund ObamaCare… perhaps because they're too cowardly to defund it... or perhaps they're simply under the delusion that there is "political advantage" to keeping ObamaCare around so they can continually use it to score political points with folks like you… or perhaps they secretly want it.
They talk tough in front of the cameras and when they go on Fox News... they hold token votes… but when push comes to shove, they keep funding Obamacare with Continuing Resolution after Continuing Resolution.
And left to their own devices, they will continue do just enough to make you think that they are fighting for you so that you'll send then back to Washington to fool you some more.
It is time we used our hard earned dollars to demand real action... the immediate and complete repeal of ObamaCare. If not, make no mistake, many more of your hard-earned dollars will go to prop it up.
The time has come to say that we, as Americans will take it no more. We will not allow the government to put the lives of our parents, our children and our grandchildren at risk.
ObamaCare must be wiped clean from the slate, eradicated from the laws of this great nation; and the ground from which it sprang must be salted so that the children of America are never put at risk by such a vile piece of legislation.
