Many people are asking us why there is another "resistance" rally being thrown by a "tea party" group one week after our national protests against Obama on Sat Feb 16.
Here is what happened to the best of our knowledge. On January 7, as you can see on our event page, we launched the American Resistance To Obama national march plan to our supporters by email and social media.
Over 100,000 potential people were notified of this event and people started signing up and showing their enthusiasm right away!
Then on January 22, a group that has gotten in hot water for raising a large amount of funds but doing little of substance with them, launched a page and email recruiting barrage called Day of Resistance for protests on 2/23.
They immediately shadowed our name and our date for maximum confusion and cross benefit. So we have changed our name to National Protests Against Obama and we are putting out this one notice about this effort from a fund raising operation to mimic our name and strategy and date.
The emails are being sent out from an address calling itself "The Tea Party" and are signed by at Todd Cefaratti. A simple Google search on Todd Cefaratti will lead you to this article about their fund raising efforts without returned benefits to Tea Party activists. Please share this one notice with others as we return our full attention to making our historic National Protests Against Obama on Sat Feb 16 a huge success despite the interference and intentional confusion being created by Cefaratti and "The Tea Party" aka "Day of Resistance 2/23
According to FEC reports this group took in $469,000 in donations and did not help candidates at all. Sincerely,
