Why are we so intent on wasting so much time, effort and energy resisting an illusion?
The lying scum you see in Washington are not your lawfully elected officials. They are actors. Actors you pay over $175,000 a year to lie to you and deceive you.
Yes...I fully understand the problem of getting your head around it. But look at it this way.....
You hired a bunch of people you believed to be honorable, you believed to be honest and you might have even been right at the time. Now get these same fine folks into an environment where fraud and deceit rein supreme.
The corruptions starts at the top and soon even the best intended representative begins to slowly get sucked into the quicksand of the legislative morass and the personal compromise of ethics and morality begins. They never had a chance.
The courts are in on it too. They made the ruling that corporations had the same rights as a real live person to address their grievances to Congress. Only you and I have a limited amount of influence based on the limitation of campaign contributions we can give and we are only important to your representative around election time.
Now you be the judge on this.
In contrast, corporations and other special interest groups are not bound by the same financial limitations. Please...go check this out for yourself. Consider if you will, all of the money corporations can give to your representatives against the paltry amount you can contribute and the math should convince you real quick of where your representative places his or her interest and priorities. And we did not even go into the extra perks not mentioned.
Now this tactic to exploit you has been around for a very long time. After all the corporation was created before any of us were even born. And the evil corrupt culture of that corporation was created even further back. Oh...by the way...please review the information at the next link. I think you will come to really appreciate the manor in which we have been so masterfully manipulated for ...well in this case...since about 1913.
Look...we still have lots of options. But first we must recognize what it is we are up against.
