While Barack Hussein Obama has been out campaigning all over the country for his new so-called "jobs bill" -- which is really just another sure-to-fail "stimulus" bill -- conservatives in Congress have been working hard to pass a series of REAL jobs bills.
These jobs bills focus on the PRIVATE SECTOR and the creation of long-term REAL jobs in the marketplace, not just more government jobs that would put a few people into "shovel-ready" projects that would only increase the taxpayer financed debt even MORE.
We don't need more government jobs -- we need government to get out of the way so that REAL jobs can be created, to set our country back on the road to recovery. There are a few GREAT jobs bills in Congress right now that can make that happen and create REAL jobs QUICKLY -- but liberals are trying to stop them.

Barack Obama just wants to see more wasted taxpayer dollars going towards government jobs that don't doanything to get America back on its feet in the long run. Thankfully, there are REAL jobs bills that are finally emerging in Congress, that CAN create real jobs in the private sector, and bring REAL economic recovery to our country.
Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has been working very hard to advance one of the best jobs bills out there: H.R. 1904,the "Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act" of 2011. Simply put, this bill would open up the third largest undeveloped copper resource in the world and provide 3,700 jobs and up to $1 billion annually in revenue over the life of the project.It would do so by facilitating the creation of the largest copper mine in North America, by authorizing and directing an exchange of 2,400 acres of Federal land for more than 5,300 acres of high-value conservation land currently owned by Resolution Copper Mining. The transfer will protect the south end of a scenic escarpment above the Town of Superior, Arizona known as Apache Leap, and provide other environmentally significant parcels to the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
Although similar legislation has been proposed in previous sessions of Congress, Gosar is the first House lawmaker to successfully move the bill out of committee and on to the House floor for a vote. This is our chance to finally get a REAL job-creation bill passed in Congress!
Think about it: this project will support over 3,700 jobs providing for $220 million in annual wages. The total economic impact of the project on the State of Arizona alone is estimated to be over $61.4 billion -- nearly $1 billion per year and another $20 billion in federal, state, county and local tax revenue.
This legislation will also significantly contribute to our mineral and energy independence. Today we import 30 percent of our copper, compared to just 7 percent in 1993. This project will produce up to 25% of the current U.S. demand!
And that demand just keeps skyrocketing. A single 3 megawatt wind turbine requires 4.7 tons of copper. Renewable energy production from solar, wind, geothermal and other technologies depend heavily on copper to transmit the
energy they generate. Hybrid vehicles require double the amount of copper as gas-fueled automobiles. (Liberals have been screaming about wanting to support "green" jobs -- here's their chance!) The Department of Defense indicates that copper ranks second (behind aluminum) in defense industrial applications. The U.S.must use domestic resources to meet this growing demand -- and this legislation is amajor step in the right direction.But this legislation won't pass UNLESS YOU AND I FORCE CONGRESS TO PASS IT --QUICKLY!

In reality, H.R. 1904 is not only a jobs bill; it's a good conservation bill (unlike the terrible "conservation" bills liberals keep pushing on us). The land the federal government acquires in the exchange is highly-coveted recreational and conservation areas. It protects one of the last
few remaining undammed rivers in the State of Arizona, the San Pedro River. The "Seven B" property contains nearly 7 miles of the lower San Pedro River, as well as over 800 acres of ancient intact mesquite bosque representing what is probably the largest old-growth mesquite forest remaining in Arizona. Dripping Springs is a superb hiking and climbing location. And nearly 100 acres of private land adjacent to the culturally important Apache Leap is being conveyed to the federal government.Rep. Gosar carefully drafted this legislation to ensure this is a fair value exchange. States like Arizona are blessed with natural resources, and we only get one opportunity to tap them. It's very important to ensure the taxpayer is not shortchanged. If Resolution Copper produces minerals that exceed the production assumed in the initial appraisal, the company is required to make a cash payment to the federal government. Those funds will be used for the management and maintenance of current public lands. Considering Arizona is over 60% publicly owned, this could have major benefits, and not only for their state - it would also save WE THE TAXPAYERS even MORE money.
Of course, you know that whacko leftist environmentalists will try to fight any bill like this that's introduced by conservatives, and this bill has already been attacked as somehow "circumventing environmental law." Well, even THAT has already been shot down as FALSE. Sections 4(i) and 4(j) of H.R. 1904 address explicitly and implicitly compliance with Federal environmental laws and regulations pertaining to conveyances of Federal land and approval of mine plan of operations. The partners must comply with other applicable Federal laws and regulations prior to the conveyance of lands.
In other words: This legislation promotes economic development in an environmentally responsible way.
THIS IS THE KIND OF JOBS BILL CONGRESS NEEDS TO PASS -- and YOU AND I can make that happen, if Congress hears from us NOW!
