Defeating David Ramadan in Virginia
The GOP had better clean up its act on these issues. America has been blindsided by the betrayal of American law and the Constitution by members of our own party who have been seduced by the big money, the dirty money of Muslim Brotherhood-tied operatives like Grover Norquist. Up until recently they could get away with this, because America was clueless or not paying attention. No longer. We expect this kind of sellout, subversion and destruction from the left; we will not tolerate it in the pro-American, pro-freedom GOP. It's over, boys.
The Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) chairman and SIOA board member James Lafferty writes of a critical race in the House of Delegates in Virginia:
"Today we are releasing the background paper on Virginia House of Delegates 87th District candidate David Ramadan. He is a Republican and claims to be a "conservative."
A quick internet search on any of the names listed in this paper will provide even more information about the radical views of Ramadan and his associates.
The photos of Ramadan and various prominent (and gullible) political leaders here in Virginia (see his campaign website) and in Washington should embarrass the GOP. Each of these politicians got a check from Ramadan which bought Ramadan got a photo with them. They should give the money back and ask him not to display their photos."“Conservative” David Ramadan Favors Radical Ground Zero Mosque;Boasts About “Strategic Alliance” with Qaddafi’s Washington LobbyistIn spite of claims that he is a conservative Republican, David Ramadan, a candidate for the House of Delegates in Virginia, favors the radical Ground Zero mega-mosque in New York and has close ties with Libya’s Washington lobbying firm.Members of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST), Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA), Spirit USA and the Northern Virginia Tea Party and relatives of victims killed in the 9/11 attacks picketed his recent campaign kick-off in Leesburg.Ramadan favors the mosque on some occasions but then complains about “hateful and false political attacks” when his original statement is quoted.Let’s look at the public record.2-2-2“That being said, it perplexes us as to why some vocal members of our party have chosen to oppose the construction of a cultural and religious center on private grounds. Not only does the First Amendment to our Constitution protect the right of these private citizens to worship freely, it also prevents Congress from making any law respecting an establishment of religion. Our party and the leaders in our party should not be engaged in judgment issues of the location of a cultural center and a house of worship in direct contravention of the First Amendment.” – from a letter dated August 17, 2010 to Republicans and signed by Ramadan, Randa Fahmy Hudome (more about her to follow), Suhail Khan and others. -- New York Times ( August 17, 2010) (http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/17/muslim-and-arab-repu...)"People like myself... who are hardcore Republicans and have been activists for years, with undoubted credentials on the Republican side, are really outraged by what is going on," said David Ramadan, a prominent Muslim-American conservative operative and a member of the Virginia delegation to the Republican National Convention. "We believe first and foremost in the Constitution. This is not a matter of this mosque or that mosque. This is not a New York mosque issue. It is a Constitutional issue.... This is absolutely unacceptable."—Huffington Post (August 16, 2010) (http://huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/16/gops-ground-zero-mosque-r_n_68...)VAST checked with the Huffington Post and the New York Times. Both organizations said they had not received any complaint from Mr. Ramadan about the accuracy of their stories. But on the night of his candidacy announcement, Ramadan lashed out at VAST members who simply quoted these public statements on that issue, charging them with “hateful and false political attacks.”3-3-3In a flyer “The Facts About David Ramadan” (Paid for and Authorized by David Ramadan for House of Delegates) handed out at the Loudon County Republican Committee, it is a very different story.“Claim: David Ramadan is a proponent of the mosque to be built on Ground Zero in New York City.“FACT: False. David Ramadan is not a proponent and has never advocated the building of the mosque in New York.”So Ramadan says one thing to the Huffington Post and Islamist activists and the complete opposite when he is trying to get votes in Virginia.“One woman here tonight lost her daughter in the 9/11 attack,” VAST Chairman James Lafferty said in remarks that night to the Loudon County Republican Committee. “The families of people who died on 9/11 need no condescending lectures from Mr. Ramadan on the Constitution. His talk pales when compared to their sacrifice.”“Strategic Alliance” with Qadaffi’s LobbyistSomehow it got overlooked when the campaign was doing his webpage but Ramadan boasts on his company webpage (www.ramainternational.com) about his “Strategic Alliance” with Fahmy Hudome International, Washington, DC.Bloomberg Businessweek (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/06_43/b4006070.htm) published an account of the Libyan government’s attempt to “legitimize itself” after its downing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Libya began shopping for a Washington lobbyist.4-4-4“One of the first hired was Fahmy Hudome International, founded by Randa Fahmy Hudome, a well-connected Arab American Republican and a former Associate Deputy Secretary of Energy in the second Bush Administration. Fhamy Hudome says she played a role in efforts to remove Libya from the U.S. terrorist list. Justice Dept. records show that in the past year she has also met on Libya’s behalf with staff on the Senate Foreign Relations and House International Relations committees.” (Bloomberg Businessweek, October 23, 2006)
