Impartial investigations are slowly showing who the culprits are behind the bank crisis, and it is not just the poor who lied on their loan applications. The GOP had better drop its sacred cow of bankers as an untouchable class.
Its support for welfare for the rich could be its undoing now that the middle class looks like a polar bear on a fast-melting ice floe.
Time to stop bailing out the rich and start letting bankers pay for their own mistakes.
You and I would be in jail for what some of the biggest have done. Time to apply the same yardstick everywhere:
