When my incumbent opponent touts plans for reducing expensesbased upon how he runs his department, no mention is given to how many millions in Nevada’s public funds were lost to fraudulent schemes and maleficent actors.
Millions that could be better spent on well - our failing public school system, for example.
This situation is like an addicted gambler bragging they’ve saved money at the grocery store by clipping coupons, without mentioning they have just refinanced their house to pay loan sharks back for money they lost at the casino!
The State Treasurer has a fiduciary responsibility to investigate and provide ongoing updates regarding its investment of public funds.
With our economic downturn continuing at the hands of uni-party forces hooked on the power of government overreach, Nevadans are sick and tired of politicians who fail to offer the transparency and accountability deserved by their hard-earned taxpayer dollars!
When elected as Treasurer, a full spectrum of audits will be conducted to unveil the entire scope of where Nevadans’ public funds have been spent.
