The Nimitz has been patrolling Gulf waters since late November, but in a statement issued on December 31, acting US defence secretary Christopher C. Miller ordered the vessel to "transit directly home to complete a nearly 10-month deployment."
WASHINGTON: However, The US reversed the decision to bring an aircraft carrier home from the Gulf Sunday, with the Pentagon saying that due to "recent threats" by Iran the USS Nimitz would stay in position.
Miller issued a new statement changing course on Sunday.
"Due to the recent threats issued by Iranian leaders against President Trump and other U.S. government officials, I have ordered the USS Nimitz to halt its routine redeployment," he said.
"The USS Nimitz will now remain on station in the U.S. Central Command area of operations. No one should doubt the resolve of the United States of America."
He did not elaborate on the threats involved.
China orders military to be ready for war ‘at any second’ as Brit aircraft carrier prepares to sail to South China Sea.
CHINA has told its military to be ready to "act at any second" amid rising tensions over disputed territories in the South China Sea.
It comes as the UK's HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier [pictured above] is expected to be deployed to the region in the coming months as part of its first operational mission.
Monday saw China's People's Liberation Army begin the year's schedule of military training and exercises.
In his first address to the country's armed forces of the new year, premier Xi Jinping stressed the need for “full-time combat readiness”.
He also said that current “frontline military struggles” should be used to maintain troops' preparedness, and that the army must remain ready to “act at any second”.
The comments marked a contrast to last year's new year address, which encouraged the PLA to “manage crises and deter war”, the South China Morning Post reports.
WAR CRY
Xi did not give details of the "military struggles” he referred to, but the past year has seen mounting tensions between China and a number of other nations.
Relations with the West deteriorated over China's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, its repression of protests in Hong Kong, and control over the South China Sea.
The US has frequently sent ships though the South China Sea to challenge China's claim to the region, and there is speculation that Britain will do the same when HMS Queen Elizabeth becomes fully operational.
The ship is expected to join American and Japanese naval forces near Japan’s Ryukyu Islands “as soon as early [in 2021]”, according to Kyodo News.

FROM THE DAILY WIRE: “Eternal God, noiselessly we bow before your throne of grace as we leave behind the politically and socially clamorous year of 2020,” began Emanuel Cleaver II, [pictured above L] who served as the pastor of St. James United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, from 1972 to 2009.
“We gather now in this consequential chamber to inaugurate another chapter in our roller coaster representative government. The members of this august body acknowledge your sacred supremacy and therefore confess that without your favour and forbearance, we enter this new year relying dangerously on our own fallible nature,” he continued.
Cleaver went on to ask divine assistance during what he described as “a moment when many believe that the bright light of democracy is beginning to dim.” Imploring God to empower the 117th Congress to maintain liberty for future generations, he also asked God to maintain his presence even during times of “heightened disagreement.”
Quoting the benediction from Numbers 6:24-26, Cleaver closed, “Now may the God who created the world and everything in it bless us and keep us. May the Lord make his face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us. May the Lord lift up the light of his countenance on us and give us peace; peace in our families, peace across this land, and — dare I ask, O Lord — peace even in this chamber, now and evermore.”
Though his prayer was replete with explicitly Christian themes, terminology, and references, Cleaver closed it by appealing to the deities of “many different faiths,” implying they are all the same.
“We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God, Brahma, and ‘god’ known by many names by many different faiths,” said Cleaver. “Amen and a-woman,” he closed, in an apparent attempt to render the word to cover both sexes.
Brahma is a four-faced Hindu deity who “was born from a golden egg and created the earth and all things on it,” according to the Encyclopedia Britannica. He was later believed to have come out of a lotus that emerged from the navel of Vishnu, another Hindu deity.
The word “amen,” often translated “so be it,” finds its root in the Hebrew for “faithfulness” or “fidelity.” It has been used adverbially since antiquity to express affirmation of belief and agreement, and has nothing to do with gender. Cleaver was also involved in the ordeal that led to the House chaplain’s exorcism of the lower chamber in July 2019.

FROM BREITBART NEWS: “Show me where it says in writing that we’re cancelling Mother’s Day or that you can refer to yourself as a husband or father or mother or grandmother,” said a flustered Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), [pictured below] the chairman of the House Committee on Rules. The committee set the ban for all committees on words and terms that acknowledge the male or female sex of people, such as fathers or mothers.
McGovern continued, “Give me a break. Enough is enough. We have to stop this. And we have to focus in on solving the problems that face the American people.”
“This rules package honours all gender identities by changing pronouns in the House written rules. So they are gender-neutral. Look, we made this change for the sake of inclusion, not exclusion,” McGovern insisted.
McGovern’s response came as several GOP legislators highlighted the language barring references to a person’s sex.
“I’m a proud husband, proud father of a son and a daughter — they don’t even want you to be able to say that anymore,” said GOP whip, Steve Scalise (R-LA).
“The Democrats rule package takes out words like mother and father and brother and sister in their quest to not offend anyone,” said Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ). “They’re offending, almost all of America,” Lesko added.
The new language is included in the new rules for the congressional committee in 2021 and 2022. The Democrats drafted the rules and pushed them through Congress on Monday, via a 217 to 206 party-line vote. The rules comply with the “gender identity” ideology that denies the male or female sex of each person and insists on the so-called “gender-neutral” language that hides the male or female sex of people.
The gender language is usually advocated by those who claim that the law should treat a person’s sense of their “gender” as more important than their biological sex. For example, a man who claims that he is “transgender” should be allowed to race in women’s athletic competitions, say the advocates for transgenderism.
For example, the rules require the committees to use the plural pronoun “themself” instead of the singular pronouns, the male “himself” or the female “herself.”
The Democrats’ new rules also say:
In clause 8(c)(3) of rule XXIII, strike ‘‘father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, step-sister, half brother, half sister, grandson, or grand-daughter’’ and insert ‘‘parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling, first cousin, sibling’s child, spouse, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, stepparent, step-child, stepsibling, half-sibling, or grandchild”.
“I’ve noticed the dangerous trend against free speech in recent years,” responded Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who denounced the language rules and also the Democrats’ decision in the rules package to prevent extended debates on bills by filing a “Motion to Recommit” during a floor debate:
It began in our schools on college campuses where our students are taught the absurd notion that free speech is about privilege and power, and not open debate and rational deliberation. For our constituents, taking away means freedom of speech is silent and good ideas are stifled.

The resolution strips all mentioned the words of father, mother, son, daughter, brother, mother in law, daughter in law. I’m a proud father. I’m an extremely proud son. But we’re going strike them from the rules.
First we take your speech away. Then we take what you can say.
The Democrats’ increasing determination to hide the biological differences between men and women, or to recognize the complementarity of the two sexes, is driven by the growing clout of the well-funded transgender movement among progressives.
If the Democrats take the Senate today watch out for much more of this total insanity in the year to come!!!
