Top Senator Apologizes for Monsanto Protection Act

Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland has released a public statement apologizing to the public for the passing of the Monsanto Protection Act, stating that the legislation was buried deep within a government spending bill that was required to ‘prevent a government shutdown’.

Mikulski is the Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman, one who was ultimately responsible for passing the bill that contained the notorious Monsanto Protection Act — a legislative ‘rider’ that grants biotech juggernaut Monsanto immunity from federal courts when it comes to their GMO crops. Although ‘written’ by Senator Roy Blunt, who actually gave Monsanto the ability to write their own Monsanto Protection Act and has received over $60,000 from Monsanto, Mikulski has taken serious flak for the passing of the rider.

A rider that Monsanto thought they could slip through the Senate without much of a fight, only to find that the alternative news has made it a mainstream media topic by force (despite GMO lovers saying that it never even happened).

It keeps getting weirder and weirder. The socialist-leaning Evangelical caucus in Brazil condemns the new Venezuelan dictator for his 'homophobia' but had given the regime (initiated by Chavez) a pass, actually praising him for his supposed achievements.

So, according to the Evangelical leadership, if you are a commie, bully for you. But if you slur your homosexual opponent for his leanings, you are bad.

How's that for turning Christianity on its head?

Brazilian Evangelical Caucus Condemns Venezuelan Dictator for “Homophobia”

Rep. João Campos (PSDB-GO), who heads the Evangelical Parliamentary Caucus in the Brazilian Congress, introduced a proposition against Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

The proposition, which condemns the dictator for “homophobia,” was passed unanimously March 4 in the Human Rights Committee (HRC) of the Brazilian House of Representatives, where Pentecostal minister Marco Feliciano is the president.

The Bible vs. Heart

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | I offer the single most politically incorrect statement a modern American — indeed a modern Westerner, period — can make: I first look to the Bible for moral guidance and for wisdom.

I say this even though I am not a Christian (I am a Jew, and a non-Orthodox one at that). And I say this even though I attended an Ivy League graduate school (Columbia), where I learned nothing about the Bible there except that it was irrelevant, outdated and frequently immoral.

I say this because there is nothing — not any religious or secular body of work — that comes close to the Bible in forming the moral bases of Western civilization and therefore of nearly all moral progress in the world.

It was this book that guided every one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, including those described as "deists." It is the book that formed the foundational values of every major American university. It is the book from which every morally great American from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to the Rev. (yes, "the Reverend," almost always omitted today in favor of his secular credential, "Dr.") Martin Luther King, Jr., got his values.

It is this book that gave humanity the Ten Commandments, the greatest moral code ever devised. It not only codified the essential moral rules for society, it announced that the Creator of the universe stands behind them, demands them and judges humans' compliance with them.

There have been few more important issues in our lifetime than ObamaCare’s outrageous “mandates.” Although I am not convinced that the “Public Comment” procedure HHS is providing is a particularly effective way to make our voices heard on the “accommodation” the President has made, we must take every opportunity we have to STOP ObamaCare’s implementation!

On February 6, 2013, the Obama Administration released a proposed “accommodation” to the mandate under ObamaCare that all employers, even faith-based institutions, be required to provide free “contraceptive coverage,” including abortion-inducing drugs, to their employees and students.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be accepting public comments on this proposed “accommodation” until Monday, April 8th, at 11:59 p.m.

I am urging every Liberty Counsel Action team member to go to the HHS website and make a comment this weekend. This is an urgent request given the fact that pro-homosexual groups are asking their supporters to completely deluge the comment site.

Hi, everyone,

   First, let us say that this is a SPECIAL one-topic edition. That's how important Ms. West's column is.

   In our view, she can point her finger at the sell-out, lefty/rino, media shills, including Sean "Chameleon" Hannity"  for his not vetting the issue in all the years that his former viewers, including us, pleaded with him to do so, and even for his response in Diana's column below. Guess he had "too much to lose"?

    Let's try to help out Diana (who is terrific). She says that Mr. Obama's father was born in Kenya.

    Well, how can someone know that?...when the very document cited that identifies this "alleged" father is, as she feels, a "forgery" (as also do law enforcement and forensic experts). Then, she accurately adds, "So, too, has the Israel Science and Technology website, a national database and directory of science- and technology-related sites in Israel established by Benjamin Netanyahu’s former science adviser, molecular biologist Israel Hanukoglu, Ph.D."

     Again then, how can anyone know? How do we know? Simple...we don't.  There is no valid, rightly-certified document (the 2008 "CoLB" is invalid...says so at its very bottom. Or can someone show us where its required certification number is shown?)

   Diana then says that in her view Mr. Obama is Constitutionally ineligible to be president.

     That then brings us all to the front side of the same issue.....Under what functional, perceived definition of "natural born citizen" is a person "eligible" for "President of the United States"?

     For sure, we all have our opinions, and we feel fairly comfortable with ours.  Still, that solves nothing and leaves BOTH issues wide open......
