Letter to the editor, The Florida Times-Union
I’m an old white gentleman so there are so many things I don’t understand.
One of the things I don’t understand is how looting, rioting, assaults and destruction are going to make white people more accepting of blacks. Or, for that matter more accepting of Democrat politicians.
I don’t understand how destroying a Christopher Columbus statue improves police treatment of blacks.
I don’t understand how the best candidate the Democratic Party can come up with is a very old white guy that has definite signs of dementia and surely cannot serve out a four year term.
I don’t understand why a ready and fit Joe Biden chose to hide in his basement for months until polls started trending against him. Remember Hillary sequestered herself in 2016 when she was ahead in the polls; didn’t work that time either.
I don’t understand why the media doesn’t seem to notice that ANTIFA is the most fascist organization in the nation.
I don’t understand why Americans don’t seem to conflate riots, arson, assaults and wholesale destruction with the left and Democrat politicians.
I don’t understand why Black Lives Matter folks aren’t concerned with the hundreds of blacks murdered every year in Chicago.
I don’t understand why the left won’t debate their ideas and instead chooses to silence those that disagree with them.
Insurance companies have stated that the cost of damages caused by rioting anarchists so far is $2 billion. I don’t understand why no one is held accountable.
I don’t understand how so many Americans allowed themselves to be gas lighted into believing America suffers from “systemic racism.”
I don’t understand the lefts’ and Democrats’ intense hatred and loathing for America and the president.
I don’t understand why white folks intentionally and systematically work to displace themselves in the country they've founded.
I don’t understand why Republicans play with themselves while Democrats play for keeps.
I don’t understand why Democrat lawmakers don’t condemn riots and destruction by BLM and Antifa.
