 Don Hank submits:

What will the fascist West do when – not if – Russia uses tactical nukes in Ukraine

The following is a translation from the outlet Tsargrad, with my notes in red and in brackets. This article is long but worth your time if you are interested in the future of planet earth or even just the Ukraine war.

Tsargrad is definitely a serious publication owned and operated by Russian Orthodox and sympathetic to Putin.

The fascinating aspect here is the fact that the analyst seems to believe that in the days, weeks or months to come, Russia will use tactical nukes against the Ukrainian forces unless the latter should back down – which seems unlikely given that they are not acting autonomously but are guided every inch of the way by the Washington Satanists who own their souls.

The author speculates as to what will happen after the first Russian nuke explodes in Western Ukraine.

Of course it will happen in Western Ukraine, for at least two reasons:

Cities like Lvov are safely distant from the newly acquired territories in Donbass and environs (and let’s always remember from here on out that these are now Russian and will be defended tooth and nail).

Further, these Western cities are the breeding grounds of Ukrainian ultranationalism, ie, the forefathers of today’s Ukronazis, who hate Russia viscerally.

In the Russian view, these people made their beds and now must lie in them.

WE’LL DEFINITELY FIRE. BUT THEN. THE WEST IS PREPARING TO USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS

Kyiv and the West behind it are systematically increasing the degree of conflict, and our country has to answer. A situation is not ruled out in which the only possible response would be to strike with a special munition.

Western propaganda continues to harp on the theme that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Corresponding narrative is systematically spread by various publications, and American officials just as systematically promise Russia "catastrophic consequences" and with a serious look reassure the agitated public that plans for this event are already prepared.

Tsargrad has already dealt with this media circus. We have noted that Putin uses nuclear weapons in exactly the right way: as a means of deterring the enemy from unacceptable actions. But what if we assume that Russia will really be brought to the point of having to strike with nuclear weapons against Ukraine? How will the situation on the battlefield change in this case, and how will this step affect the life of the average inhabitant of the Russian plain?

Well, let's figure it out.

Tactical doesn't mean weak

First things first, let's clarify which nuclear weapons are considered tactical. The name itself suggests that these are munitions intended for use against enemy troops and their rear facilities. In this they differ from strategic nuclear weapons, the purpose of which is the destruction of cities and highly protected objects thousands of kilometers from the launch site. That is, in the case of tactical nuclear weapons (TNW for short), we are not even close to megaton capacities.

However, it is also wrong to talk about the exceptionally low power of tactical nuclear weapons. It all depends on the specific model of the munition and its carrier. In the 1970s and 1980s, the yield of warheads mounted on Soviet operational-tactical missiles varied from 10 to 100 kilotons. To make it clearer what this means in practice, we recall that the city of Hiroshima was destroyed by a bomb with a power of about 15 kilotons, and Nagasaki was hit by a charge of 21 kt. That is, tactical warheads cannot be called weakly-powered.

In 2018, models of TNW warheads for missiles of the Iskander-M tactical complex were demonstrated at the Army forum. It was reported that the power of these charges can vary from 5 to 50 kt. In August of this year, at the Army-22 forum, the Rosatom Corporation presented two nuclear projectiles: a 152-mm RD4-01 with a capacity of 2.6 kilotons, and a 203-mm RD5-01 with a capacity of 2 kt. By the way, both of them were created back in the USSR and are not new.

In the 1980s, our aviation received the Kh-59M (sometimes written X-59M) Ovod-M universal missile, which, among other things, can carry nuclear warheads weighing up to 340 kg. The power of these munitions varies over a very wide range, ie, from 3-5 to 50-100 kt.

At present, the Russian Aerospace Forces have a whole family of these missiles. The most modern modification is the X-59MK2 missile, equipped with an onboard inertial guidance system, a GLONASS navigation receiver and an optoelectronic homing head (GOS). These missiles can be used not only by bombers like Su-24 and Su-34, but also by Su-30 and Su-35S fighters.

The Kalibr cruise missiles can carry nuclear weapons. At the same time, the power of the charges installed on them is already from 50 to 200 kilotons. Hypersonic Kinzhal and supersonic anti-ship "Onyxes" can also be equipped with special ammunition (the latter are capable of attacking not only sea targets, but also ground-based radio-contrast targets).

In general, the calculations of operational-tactical complexes, artillerymen, aviation and navy can deliver nuclear strikes by the Russian army.

The number matters

Data on the number of tactical nuclear weapons at the disposal of the Russian Armed Forces are state secrets. Accordingly, in order to form an idea on this issue, one has to turn to Western studies. American experts have a large amount of information obtained both through the special services and collected legally.

Overall, estimates range from 2,000 to 6,000 ready-to-use nuclear weapons. According to some reports, about half of Russia's 5,000 tactical nuclear warheads belong to the subkiloton class, that is, they have a yield of less than a kiloton, which allows them to be used close to their troops and to destroy point objects near cities.

American experts note that "the Russian tactical nuclear arsenal is amazingly diverse" and includes air-to-surface missiles, short-range ballistic missiles, free-fall bombs and depth charges for medium-range bombers, tactical bombers and naval air forces, and also anti-ship, anti-submarine and anti-aircraft missiles and torpedoes for surface ships and submarines.

Do not lose sight of the American specialists and returnable potential - ammunition that can be produced from dismantled Soviet warheads. According to their estimates, by 2026 Russia may have up to 8,000 nuclear weapons.

In 2019, Lieutenant General Robert Ashley Jr., Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, estimated Russia's production capability at 1,000 warheads per year. According to him, the mothballed production potential of our country will make it possible to increase this number to 2,500 nuclear weapons per year.

In other words, our country has not only a huge arsenal of non-strategic nuclear weapons, but also impressive capabilities for the production of new warheads for emerging needs.

What if in Lviv?

During the special operation, the Russian President has already warned the West several times against direct intervention in the situation in Ukraine. And every time, speaking about the use of nuclear weapons, Putin linked it with the creation of a strategic threat to Russia.

Suppose the United States took this step - for example, they handed over ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, with which it hit [Russian city] Belgorod, or the Armed Forces of Ukraine achieved their goal and, as a result of another shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, damaged a nuclear waste storage facility or a power unit, causing a radiation catastrophe in the new territories of Russia.

In this case, tactical nuclear weapons can be used as strategic ones, that is, to deliver a retaliatory strike. It is extremely unlikely that a Russian city, including Kyiv, will be chosen as the target for such an operation. Much more likely is a punitive strike against Lviv, Ternopil or Ivano-Frankivsk - the birthplace of Bandera and visceral Russophobia. By the way, when Tsargrad wrote that Russia would have to deal with the re-education of this [Ukrainian] public, it didn’t even occur to us that it could come to delivering nuclear retaliatory strikes. However, the Ukrainian regime managed to do the almost impossible: it showed itself to be such an enemy, for which even a nuclear club is not out of the question.

Click here for graphic: https://up.tsargrad.tv/uploads/28-09-2022/220928_Lvov_2.jpg

APPROXIMATELY THIS WILL LOOK LIKE THE AREA OF DEVASTATION OF A TNW IN LVIV. LEFT - DAMAGE BY THE ISKANDER-M ROCKET WITH A CHARGE OF 50 KILOTONS. RIGHT - DAMAGE BY RD5-01 PROJECT (CALIBER 203 MM) WITH A CHARGE OF 2 KT. SIMULATED BY THE NUCLEARSECRECY.COM SERVICE

Also, nuclear weapons can be used when units of one of the Western armies, whether American or Polish, enter the territory of Ukraine. In this case, special ammunition will be used at the place of deployment of the "crusaders": for example, at the Yavorovsk [Yavoriv in Ukrainian] training ground, at one of the bases of which a mass slaughter of foreign mercenaries by our Kaliber has already taken place.

However, the most important thing in this scenario is that a nuclear strike - be it retaliation or denial of access - opens up a real Pandora's box for Ukraine. After all, if Moscow decided to use tactical nuclear weapons and assumed all the adverse consequences of this step (and such, most likely, will be the tightening of sanctions and their transformation into a real economic blockade), then there is no point in being embarrassed. Consequently, the use of special ammunition will go into full swing: why lose infantry battalions, storming Avdiyivka, which is filled with concrete, if you can work on it with a subkiloton bomb, instantly killing the inhabitants of its bunkers? Why tolerate the supply of Western weapons when you can launch a series of strikes along the Ukrainian-Polish border, creating a continuous exclusion zone for several months?

In June, Russia had already fired missiles at the Beskydy tunnel under the Carpathian Mountains. Before the start of the special operation, up to 60% of the transit of goods from Ukraine to Western and Central Europe passed through it, and after the start of the conflict, trains with thousands of tons of fuel and hundreds of tanks moved along it. Kaliber with conventional warheads could not do anything to this Soviet-built object. But the arrival of ammunition, the power of which will be measured not in hundreds of kilograms of TNT, but, say, 50 kilotons, will destroy not only the exit from the tunnel, but the entire Stryi railway junction connecting five railway lines. [If you are starting to feel queasy about this, remember that the US-led West had the total destruction of Russia in mind when Obama’s henchmen, NGOs, government officials – like the screwball McCain – invaded the Maidan Square in Kiev and turned a local protest movement into a violent nation-wide coup that killed over 100 people and led to the fiery death of Russian speakers in Odessa. And then, once the US had seized power in Kiev, caused the ruthless bombing of civilians in Donbass. The US government had zero sympathy for the victims and thoroughly censored the atrocities, allowing no reports thereof to come out in the mainstream media. It mirrored the merciless 1948 Nakba in Palestine that continues today. It is clearly a product of the self-same mindset, played out by many of the same actors.]

Also, tactical nuclear weapons will quickly solve the problem of bunkers in which the Ukrainian elites will hide.

Attacking Western Ukraine is, under certain conditions, an absolutely correct decision, also because this is a territory that has given rise to an absolutely Russophobic culture. The eastern regions of the former Ukraine are inhabited by Russians and therefore aspire to join Russia; the central ones can enter, although this will require a policy of assimilation and the return of their population to the Russian cultural and linguistic field. But Galicia with its current population will always remain hostile to us. This is an enemy that does not give up.

Poland drinks iodine, Germans drink valerian

Of course, after the first strike, hysteria will rise in the West, millions of townsfolk will rush to drink iodine, the media will whip up fear, and politicians will wind up ratings on loud statements and "decisive actions." This will affect most of all Poland, a country from which they are clearly creating the next enemy of Russia after Ukraine.

However, in reality, the situation is likely to turn out to be not as terrible as propagandists of all stripes paint. Firstly, there will be no large-scale radiation contamination of the area and air in connection with the use of tactical nuclear weapons.

The weight of a tactical nuclear weapon is about 100-150 kilograms - radioactive contamination goes to about a tenth of the nuclear material that is inside. Therefore, this is a common local infection. Just like, for example, it was in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where radiation remained at the site in the first days after the impact, and now people live there,

- explains military expert Vladislav Shurygin in his column for Tsargrad.

The same is true of NATO's response. On September 20, the chairman of the military committee of the alliance, Admiral Rob Bauer, in an interview with one of the Baltic television channels, said that the North Atlantic bloc is not at war with the Russian Federation [Big LIE!] and does not intend to enter into a conflict in Ukraine.

NATO is not at war with Russia. I must state this very clearly. If Russia attacked one of our member states, everything would be perfectly clear. We are trying to make it as clear as possible to Russia that we will defend every inch of our allies’ territory [This may also be a lie]. Then there will be a conflict between Russia and NATO. But until this moment, NATO is not at war with Russia -- Bauer explained.

The use of tactical nuclear weapons does not change this picture. NATO arms and finances Kyiv, waging war to the last Taras [possibly an allusion to 19th Century Ukrainian activist Taras Shevchenko], but is not going to shed the blood of its own soldiers. After Moscow uses nuclear weapons, there will be even fewer people willing to get involved in a conflict that has reached such a degree of bitterness. Although condemnatory and cursing voices will definitely increase.

What are the prospects?

Kyiv and the West behind it are systematically raising the stakes, bringing the confrontation to new planes and expanding the space of the conflict in every possible way. At the same time, the West does not risk military losses, and Kyiv has no political subjectivity and therefore is not able to stop even in the face of an extreme threat. For its part, Russia does not increase the degree of confrontation, but in a number of cases it is simply forced to react to the actions of opponents. Therefore, the use of tactical nuclear weapons remains extremely unlikely, but still a possible scenario.

Strategically, this step will not change anything, since by now Ukraine has already received unacceptable demographic and economic damage and will not be able to continue to exist in its previous form after the end of the conflict. However, in psychological and media terms, the use of nuclear weapons will have the effect of an exploding bomb. There is no doubt: the hysteria will be on a planetary scale.

In practical terms, the use of special munitions will speed up some operations and solve a number of currently unsolvable tasks (for example, the destruction of the Beskid tunnel), but, on the other hand, it will obviously provoke tougher sanctions and the adoption of them in those countries that do not currently support them. In other words, for the vast majority of Russian citizens, the consequences will be economic and, to some extent, psychological.

If our country still yearns for Lviv or another Ukrainian city, how should we treat this? As for military necessity, it is a pity that it has come to this, but if it is necessary, then it is necessary. We need a victory in this fight, and the use of tactical nuclear weapons in the cities of Western Ukraine is not a very high price to pay for it.

Meloni dresses down puppet Macron

John Stassi sent the following expanding on the video of Giorgia Meloni’s justified attack on US-puppet Emmanuel Macron.

This direct verbal barrage on Macron is, to my knowledge, the first such attack on a European national leader by another European leader of Meloni’s status  -- she is now the elected prime minister of Italy, though she made the above statements while a candidate.

In recently unearthed footage, Meloni can be seen speaking at the Atreju convention in September 2018, an annual event typically attended by Italy’s right-wing politicians, in which she accuses the French president of impoverishing African states and recklessly causing the migration crisis in North Africa that Italy has had to combat for the last decade.

“Emmanuel Macron described us as disgusting, cynical, and irresponsible,” she told the conference.

“The irresponsible, Emmanuel Macron, are those who bombed Libya because they were concerned that Italy would obtain important energy concessions with [former Libyan leader] Gaddafi, and left us facing the chaos of illegal immigration we are facing now,” she said to much applause.

“The cynics, Emmanuel Macron, are the French who send the gendarmerie to return any immigrant trying to cross the border in Ventimiglia,” a northeastern Italian town close to the French border.

“And most of all, and because things have to be said right, disgusting… Disgusting is France that continues to exploit Africa by printing money to 14 African countries and charging them mint fees, and by child labor in the mines, and by extracting raw materials, as is happening in Niger, where France extracts 30 percent of the uranium it needs to run its nuclear reactors, while 90 percent of Niger’s population lives without electricity,” Meloni raged.

She called on Macron not to come and teach the Italians lessons, claiming that “Africans are abandoning their continent because of you [Macron].”

On the topic of illegal immigration, as significant a problem now as it was at the time of this speech, Meloni said “the solution is not to transfer Africans to Europe, but to liberate Africa from some Europeans.”

AND HERE: This fiery speech from Giorgi Meloni is SOOO REFRESHING!!

And to tell the truth, I know a few American hyperpatriots who are just as disgusting and irresponsible as Emmanuel Macron, who is simply a mouthpiece of the disgusting, irresponsible Washington, DC that is dragging us ever closer to a nuclear WW III.

Kevin McDonald, writing for Unz, quotes Meloni:

“Please answer me these questions. This is about what we are doing here today. Why is the family an enemy? Why is the family so frightening? There is a single answer to all these questions. Because it defines us. Because it is our identity. Because everything that defines us is now an enemy for those who would like us to no longer have an identity and to be perfect consumer slaves.”

“And so they attack national identity, they attack religious identity, they attack gender identify, they attack family identity. I can’t define myself as Italian, Christian, woman, mother. No.”

I must be citizen x, gender x, parent 1, parent 2. I must be a number. Because when I am only a number, when I no longer have an identity or roots, then I will be the perfect slave at the mercy of financial speculators. The perfect consumer.”

“That’s the reason why. That’s why we inspire so much fear. That’s why this event inspires so much fear. Because we do not want to be numbers. Will will defend the value of the human being. Every single human being. Because each of us has a unique genetic code that is unrepeatable. And like it or not, that is sacred. We will defend it. We will defend God, country and family.”

Those things that disgust people so much. We will do it to defend our freedom, because we will never be slaves and simple consumers at the mercy of the financial speculators. That is our mission. That is why I came here today.”

“Chesterton wrote, more than a centu—ry ago… ‘Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four.’ Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer.’”

“That time has arrived. We are ready.”

Reader comment on the above

Thanks Don.

France has a history of cruel colonialism, but it has been kept latent from most of the present world. The French cruelty continues till today.

My earnest wish is to end the "money centered colonial and neo colonial exploitation" of the West. Macrons and Bojos and Lizs etc are despicable little pawns on the board of Big Game. What change Ms. Meloni would be allowed to bring for Italians is to be seen. I hope she won't become another Jacinda Arden.

Best regards Don and thanks again.

On September 28th, the AP headlined “Record methane leak flows from damaged Baltic Sea pipelines” and reported that “Methane leaking from the damaged Nord Stream pipelines is likely to be the biggest burst of the potent greenhouse gas on record, by far. … Andrew Baxter, a chemical engineer who formerly worked in the offshore oil and gas industry, and is now at the environmental group EDF …  said, ‘It’s catastrophic for the climate.’”

The article pointed out that methane “is 82.5 times more potent than carbon dioxide at absorbing the sun’s heat and warming the Earth.”
