On September 10--exactly a day short of one year after she and Obama allowed their own officials to die in real time--Clinton will be awarded the National Constitution Center's Liberty Medal.

NSA collecting phone records of millions of Verizon customers daily

Exclusive: Top secret court order requiring Verizon to hand over all call data shows scale of domestic surveillance under Obama

The National Security Agency is currently collecting the telephone records of millions of US customers of Verizon, one of America's largest telecoms providers, under a top secret court order issued in April.

The order, a copy of which has been obtained by the Guardian, requires Verizon on an "ongoing, daily basis" to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in its systems, both within the US and between the US and other countries.

The document shows for the first time that under the Obama administration the communication records of millions of US citizens are being collected indiscriminately and in bulk – regardless of whether they are suspected of any wrongdoing.

IRS Official In Charge During Tea Party Targeting Now Runs ObamaCare Office

The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also reacted to the revelation late Thursday, stating the news was “stunning, just stunning.”

Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.

Her successor, Joseph Grant, is taking the fall for misdeeds at the scandal-plagued unit between 2010 and 2012. During at least part of that time, Grant served as deputy commissioner of the tax-exempt unit.

Grant announced today that he would retire June 3, despite being appointed as commissioner of the tax-exempt office May 8, a week ago.

Just as the Obama administration’s IRS-targeting scandal has started to metastasize, a new controversy has erupted over the government’s monitoring of one of the nation’s largest press bureaus. Using a series of broad subpoenas, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) secretly obtained two months of telephone records belonging to reporters and editors working for the Associated Press (AP). A letter notifying the AP to that effect was sent last Friday by Ronald Machen, the U.S. attorney in Washington. AP’s president and chief executive, Gary B. Pruitt, characterized the DOJ’s actions as a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into news gathering activities. Much more than that, it is a testament to the compromised state of today’s Justice Department, which has been deeply corrupted by its leader, Attorney General Eric Holder.

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) called for Acting IRS Commissioner Miller and Treasury Secretary Lew to answer questions surrounding reports that the IRS unfairly targeted conservative groups. The letter asks Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI) to ensure that these individuals are included in hearings that Senator Baucus called for today .

“Reports of the IRS deliberately targeting conservative groups are disturbing and contradictory to the fundamental American values of liberty and freedom - the very values the government is designed to protect. I and my colleagues are committed to holding those responsible for this behavior accountable,”Senator Heller stated in a Facebook post earlier today.

FREEDOM"S LIGHT DIMS UNDER OBAMA

We are helping to spread freedom and liberty around the globe.

The farther you get from a source of light, the dimmer the light becomes. In fact there is a law in physics called the Inverse Square Law that says when you double the distance from a light source, the light is dimmed by 4 times. The dawn of the bright "light" of freedom occurred some 221 years ago when the Constitution was ratified by the 13 colonies. Four presidential terms later, after freedom's light was lit, according to the Inverse Square Law, freedom's light was 16 times dimmer. But freedom's light started to grow dimmer even before the fourth presidential term. The second president of the United States, John Adams, one of the drafters of the U. S. Constitution, passed the "Aliens and Sedition Act" that was so contrary to constitutional principles that Adams might just as well have set fire to the constitution right then and there. When Jefferson became president he had the law repealed, but by then the cat was out of the bag and breaking the Constitution got just a little easier.
