Articles of Conscience – The Sanctity of Life

The trial of baby butcher Kermit Gosnell has raised awareness of the sanctity of life, and ignited a renewed vigor among the pro-life community to act upon the courage of our convictions. Already there are stories of even more potential Gosnells out there—one in Houstonand perhaps another in my own backyard.

This has led to a renewed discussion within the pro-life movement about tactics and strategy. For example, Arizona Congressman Trent Franks, a previous guest on our nationally-syndicated radio show, is championing a bill that would ban killing children in Washington, D.C. after 20 weeks when accepted science states the unborn person feels pain. Another previous guest on our radio program, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, is a proponent of “personhood” legislation. Two of his fellow senators, Ted Cruz of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah, are calling for national hearings on late-term abortions to prevent anymore Gosnells.

In light of these developments, and because of the many questions as a result of the expansion of our radio show into many new markets, I am compelled to provide my “articles of conscience” when it comes to the life issue to clarify any confusion and define why I believe what I believe.

ABORTION IS MURDER AND WILL SEE A TRIAL THIS WEEK

Dear Conservatives, 

If you have ever questioned why you should keep on fighting the horror of abortion-on-demand, here is all the proof you need. 

But I warn you -- it's awfully graphic. 

You don't want to have children near you when you read what I have to tell you. 

You may remember the discovery of the late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell's "House of Horrors" abortion mill in Philadelphia last year. 

The court has now finished selecting jury members and his trial will begin on Monday. 

Just to give you a small taste of his crimes, yet another of Gosnell's employees, Tina Baldwin, pled guilty to charges of participating in a corrupt organization, conspiracy and corruption of a minor, when she allowed her 15-year-old daughter to work for Gosnell. 

According to court documents, Baldwin's daughter was made to work 50 hours a week after school until past midnight, during which she was exposed to Gosnell's systematic murder of newborn infants. 

Baldwin herself routinely assisted in abortions by anesthetizing abortion clients. 

SCOTUS RULING MAY STOP ABORTION IN OBAMACARE!

Dear Conservatives, We have a test case in Oklahoma that is providing a roadmap for the rest of the nation. Pro-life Oklahoma legislators have found a way that promises to stop the Obama administration from forcing taxpayer funding of abortion down your throats. As you know, there has been tons of controversy as to the real financial cost of ObamaCare -- both to individual citizens and the nation's economy. But the one thing that is clear is that federal funding of abortion is so ingrained in multiple places in the law is that the only way to end that funding is to kill ObamaCare and let the Congress start over fresh. And the good news is there is now legislation in Oklahoma that will do just that. You see, when the Supreme Court came down with their decision on ObamaCare, they made a key ruling.

ABORTION HAS NO PLACE IN A FREE NATION!

They say those who fail to learn from the past are bound to repeat it. 

And it looks like the Obama camp may go that way again. 

Four years ago, Barack Obama defeated John McCain for the presidency. 

The abortion lobby then claimed a mandate and helped ram all sorts of pro-abortion policies and laws, down the throats of American taxpayers, including $7 billion in taxpayer funding of abortion in the infamous "ObamaCare." 

They must have thought that they could get away with it, and that the American people wouldn't be paying attention. 

But pro-lifers faced the danger and rallied to the defense of the unborn. In 2010 alone, NPLA identified and mobilized more than 2 million new pro-life households in almost 100 target districts and states, alerting of the danger. 

And in the "wave election" of 2010, Mr. Obama's pro-abortion allies paid a steep price for their radical agenda and took historic losses in the House and Senate.

Seven Ominous Storms Facing America After the Coming Election

This past Sunday metaphorically pictured the present situation of our nation: Even with a terrible storm on the horizon (on the East Coast) many people were being (spiritually) lulled to sleep while fascinated with football games and entertainment through media.

This is eerily similar to more than 1,500 years ago, when the Roman emperor distracted the masses with gladiatorial games, traveling circuses, and distributed free bread against the backdrop of the looming Barbarian hordes about to invade, plunder and ravage their cities.

It is truly time for the whole church to wake up—to fast, pray and engage the culture as salt and light before night comes and no man can work!

These are some of the words I have been saying with more and more frequency the past several years to leaders I know in the body of Christ. Lately I have been feeling sympathetic to the way Jeremiah the prophet must have felt as he kept warning of the impending doom coming to his nation if it did not repent.

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court opened its new term and immediately directed the Department of Justice to respond to the question of why Liberty Counsel’s case against ObamaCare should not be reheard by a federal appeals court.

The High Court directed the federal government to respond to our Petition for Rehearing within 30 days.

What Does God Say About the Killing of the Unborn?

No believer would deny that the pre-meditated killing of a
person is an abomination to the Lord (I am making the
distinction between murder and capital punishment - that is an
entirely different subject). A murderer is guilty "into the
fiery hell". And God has called His people to "Deliver those
who are being taken away to death, and those who are staggering
to slaughter, O hold them back." As Christians, we are called to
help our neighbor who has been beaten and robbed; how much more
are we to rescue those who are unjustly being killed?
