(A Russian language article I just finished reading mentions that Erdogan virtually controls the Turkish press). Interestingly, just days ago I forwarded to my popular list serve an article stating that Bill Killian, a top Obama-appointed DOJ official and US Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, warned that statements on social media critical of Islam could beillegal. In the Muslim Brotherhood explanatory memorandum for its strategic objectives in North America we read:
	The Ikhwan [brothers] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.

This memorandum was approved by the Muslim Brotherhood Shura Council, and the U.S. Justice Department affirmed its authenticity when it entered the memorandum as evidence in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial.

Think about what this memorandum is saying.

It’s Not Easy Being Red and Green

The Islamists do not need to understand the left. All they need to do is go on using it.

The left has never adapted to the transition from nationalistic wars to ideological wars. It took the left a while to grasp that the Nazis were a fundamentally different foe than the Kaiser and that pretending that World War 2 was another war for the benefit of colonialists and arms dealers was the behavior of deluded lunatics. And yet much of the left insisted on approaching the war in just that fashion, and had Hitler not attacked Stalin, it might have remained stuck there.

The Cold War was even worse. The moderate left never came to terms with Communism. From the Moscow Trials to the fall of the Berlin Wall, the left slowly disavowed the USSR, but refused to see it as anything more than a clumsy dictatorship. The only way that the left could reject the USSR was by overlooking its ideology and treating it as another backward Russian tyranny being needlessly provoked and pushed around by Western Europe and the United States.

The column below, written by Harris Zafar and recently published in The Washington Post, defines “free speech” in a way that can only be described as classic doublespeak.

Zafar’s premise reminds us of a column written by Sheikh Ali Gomaa, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, which appeared in The Wall Street Journal on October 8, 2009. Gomaa wrote: 

We have upheld the right of freedom of conscience, and the freedom of expression, within the bounds of common decency… We are committed to human liberty within the bounds of Islamic law. [emphasis added]

Why so much violence against the tongue? As the Sheikh of Islam himself: Ibn Tamiyyah, once wrote, "Waging war verbally against Islam might be worse than waging war against it physically."

A professor of Islamic exegesis at Cairo's preeminent Islamic university, Al Ahzar, Dr. Abdullah Badr, recently proclaimed on Egyptian television that a new day has arrived: apparently from now on, there will be absolutely no more toleration for anyone who speaks against Islam—including people who speak against the implementation of Sharia law and its seventh century punishments.

Badr is currently on trial for possibly libeling and defaming a female Egyptian artist, Elham Shahin, whom he called, among other disparagements, a "whore." An unrepentant Badr appeared again on TV, and made the following oath:

The statements of Mark Elchardus, author of a 426 page study, who linked Islam with anti-Semitism, earned him a lawsuit filed by a Muslim group, which said that his comments violated Belgium's anti-discrimination law of 2007, which forbids discrimination on the basis of "religious convictions," and Article 444 of the Belgian penal code as his statements appeared in a newspaper and were therefore repeated extensively in print. Belgian law, however, apparently did not prevent Muslims from resorting to anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism.

Two Muslim politicians, who just won municipal elections in Belgium's capital, Brussels, on October 14, have vowed to implement Islamic Sharia law in Belgium.
The two candidates, Lhoucine Aït Jeddig and Redouane Ahrouch, both from the fledgling Islam Party, won seats in two heavily Islamized municipalities of Brussels, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and Anderlecht, respectively.

Seven Ominous Storms Facing America After the Coming Election

This past Sunday metaphorically pictured the present situation of our nation: Even with a terrible storm on the horizon (on the East Coast) many people were being (spiritually) lulled to sleep while fascinated with football games and entertainment through media.

This is eerily similar to more than 1,500 years ago, when the Roman emperor distracted the masses with gladiatorial games, traveling circuses, and distributed free bread against the backdrop of the looming Barbarian hordes about to invade, plunder and ravage their cities.

It is truly time for the whole church to wake up—to fast, pray and engage the culture as salt and light before night comes and no man can work!

These are some of the words I have been saying with more and more frequency the past several years to leaders I know in the body of Christ. Lately I have been feeling sympathetic to the way Jeremiah the prophet must have felt as he kept warning of the impending doom coming to his nation if it did not repent.
