NEWS FROM THE SECOND DISTRICTDear Friend,
As Hurricane Ian approaches Florida, I encourage you to check your supplies and emergency plan. The more prepared we are for this storm, the better. Please continue to watch or listen to your local stations for announcements about evacuations, boil water notices, and warnings. Above all, I encourage you to stay positive but alert. We’re in this together, and we will get through this storm.
My team and I updated our disaster resource webpage and our Hurricane Guidebook to help you prepare and respond before and after the storm. The National Weather Service (NWS) suggests the following steps to take before the storm: The NWS has published this Hurricane preparedness guide that you may wish to review.
