Cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann faces one count of lying to the government, less than 2 months before the 2016 election, in an attempt to thwart Donald Trump’s 2016 Election Campaign.
Sussmann allegedly lied when he brought the FBI a tip about possible connections (which turned out to be false) between Donald Trump’s company and a Russian bank.
Sussmann told the FBI that he was not representing any client when he brought them the information, when he was in fact representing the Clinton Campaign.
