Every state needs a Treasurer with the spirit that Senator Rand Paul displayed recently when it came to $40 billion in taxpayer dollars.
Senator Paul merely called for someone to fill the role of overseeing how money in an additional aid package to Ukraine worth $40 billion would be spent, and covetous Democrats are failing to cave in!
Nevada is flush with America Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds, and the White House Office of Management and Budget recently issued a 14-page guidance document to mitigate the potentiality of mishandling, waste, and fraud with these taxpayer funds.
Clark County will be spending 36% of the $440 million received through ARPA on housing projects, and we need a Treasurer with a proven business acumen in charge to assure that these funds are handled with transparent accountability.
Nevadans need to be assured that every taxpayer dollar spent is handled with fiscal transparency!
Sadly, the fraudulent acquisition and mishandling of COVID-19 related funds is nothing new.
That’s the reason why one of my first action items as Treasurer will be to audit every account.
As your next Treasurer, I will scrutinize the expenditure of every taxpayer cent with transparency for all Nevadans.
Your support of my campaign with a donation of any amount today will demonstrate the resolve of Nevadans to see their taxpayer funds accounted for with consistent and transparent oversight!
