UP FIRST 03/02/2021

First look:

  • Cuomo's latest accuser has photographic evidence of her claim
  • Dems pushing Biden for "recurring" support payments
  • Elizabeth Warren is on the warpath -- she wants a "wealth tax"
  • Flashback to a year ago when Fauci said to change nothing

A third Cuomo accuser comes forward with photographic evidence

HeadlineAndrew Cuomo accused of making unwanted advances at wedding

The First take: For every reasonable person asking, "How many accusers does it take before multiple claims of sexual harassment are considered "credible?" Before we can answer, we need to know if the accused is a Republican or Democrat. (Sarcasm implied.) As the Cuomo sexual harassment scandal appears to be approaching a tipping point, we remind everyone of the stunning silence from much of the MSM over 14,000+ deaths of seniors in nursing facilities due to the NY Gov's regulations. Both stories deserve strong media focus.

Dems reportedly want COVID bill to contain "recurring" payments

HeadlineDemocrats push Biden to include recurring payments in recovery package

The First take: We didn't think it was possible for the nearly $2T COVID relief bill to become more bloated. We were wrong. Progressive Democrats leading Senate committees on Finance and Banking will push for monthly support payments to be part of Biden's pet project. It sure sounds like Dems are trying sneak "universal basic income" into our country without actually creating legislation to do so. "Fundamental transformation" anyone? No thanks.

Help America to NEVER FORGET by donating $11 a Month

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been supporting America’s frontline heroes since 9/11. This year marks 20 years of honoring and supporting our nation’s greatest heroes, while ensuring people NEVER FORGET.

When a first responder or military service member doesn’t come home, and young children are left behind, Tunnel to Towers pays off their mortgage.

For catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, Tunnel to Towers builds mortgage-free smart homes, giving them their independence.

Elizabeth Warren proposes "wealth tax" for those she deems super rich

Headline: Elizabeth Warren Proposes ‘Ultra-Millionaire’ Wealth Tax

The First take: Theft, confiscation, maybe we call it a jealousy tax... all of those names apply when we consider Senator Warren's latest push to impose an onerous levy on billionaires and those she classifies as "ultra-millionaires." We view this tax as a push to punish people who have achieved great success and wealth. We also wonder how Warren and her money-grabbers will decide how much money is "too much?" Where will the "redistributionists" set the bar? We're betting the confiscation won't come into play until one is worth more than the wealthiest Democrat.

Time Machine: Last year Fauci said don't change your lives over COVID

Headline: Fauci One Year Ago Today: ‘No Need To Change Anything You’re Doing On A Day-By-Day Basis’

The First take: We know. We know. We know the science is never settled and new viruses bring unknown challenges when they take hold. We also found it fascinating to review what the country's "most respected" doctor was telling the nation exactly one year ago. (In mid-March, we're also going to mark the YEAR anniversary of "15 days to slow the spread." Remember when this was all about flattening the curve so hospitals weren't overrun? Now it's apparently about eradicating the disease before we get back to "normal.")
