The First take: The last time we checked, Democrats controlled the Senate and therefore Joe Biden's picks for cabinet position should have an easy go of it. At least two of President Biden's selections are facing significant pushback from committee members and Biden's laying the blame squarely on the former Trump administration. Like momma always said, "When your shoes stink, don't blame your socks." Respectfully, Mr. President, your choices are the problems here.

The First take: Boy oh boy, this will be a tough one for establishment Dems. Do they "believe all women" or will they "circle the wagons" and defend the Governor against what are serious claims of sexual harassment from a former top aide? Since Cuomo's stock has been tumbling in the wake of the nursing home scandal, our money's on the "Me too" movement.

Steve Scalise schools dems wanting to silence conservative media

Headline: As Dems Angle To Deplatform Fox News, Rep. Scalise Reminds Them Baseball Shooter Was A Fan Of MSNBC

The First take: Another day, another case of Democrats and their "hypocriny" (hypocritical irony). The latest push from liberals to silence media serving the Conservative community took a direct hit from Rep. Steve Scalise on Wednesday. The congressman, who almost lost his life when a deranged Bernie Sanders fan shot up a GOP baseball practice, reminded those calling for Fox News, OANN, etc. to be bumped off cable that the shooter was also a big fan of MSNBC. We're always amazed when the people who claim to want "all voices to be heard" have an exclusion for any voice that disagrees with them.

Possibly the "wokest" college in the country had outdone itself

Headline: Students Demand Removal Of George Washington Statue... At University Of Washington

The First take: We doubled-checked to see if this was The Onion or the Babylon Bee. It's not. More than 8,000 people at the University of WASHINGTON... which is located in WASHINGTON state, are demanding the removal of a statue of George WASHINGTON. We hope the parents of every student who signed the petition get a note to show them where their tuition payments are going.
