1. Biden's Tax Plan Would Erase 40 Years of Pro-Growth Progress

Given that we seem to be living in a surreal era where up is down, right is wrong, good is evil, and 2 + 2 = 5, we guess it is appropriate that Joe Biden has named his just-released scheme to raise taxes by nearly $4 trillion the "Buy America Plan." No tax agenda in modern history would do more to chase jobs and investment out of the United States than this "sock it to the rich" sophistry.
It reverses virtually every tax cut under the Trump law, which gave us the lowest unemployment rate and highest income gains in 30 years, a surge in wealth and stock values, and attracted nearly $1 trillion of foreign capital to the United States. Biden's plan erases 40 years of pro-growth progress in reducing tax rates. Instead, he raises tax rates on work, investment, small businesses, energy producers, and corporations back to the levels that prevailed in the United States in the 1970s.

2. Why Ajit Pai's FCC Should Proceed With 5G Fund for Rural Broadband

Seldom has technology and connectivity felt more important than it has right now. The lockdowns in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic have forced many workplaces to become virtual, moved schools online, and prevented many from being able to gather together with friends and family outside of video conferencing apps. Any question of whether the internet is, in fact, a necessity has been wiped away by this virus.
Fortunately, during the tenure of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai, the commission has sought ways to achieve coverage growth through free market innovation. This record includes some resounding successes. The commission has prioritized the liberation of spectrum for private use, even when  unpopular with established players. It approved the T-Mobile/Sprint merger that promises to promote competition and innovation. And, of course, it repealed the Title II regulations, the biggest government incursion on the free and open internet in memory.

3. Media Goes Nuts on Trump's Taxes and Ignores Joe Biden's Tax Dodging

The breathless coverage over the Supreme Court decision requiring disclosure of President Trump’s financial records demonstrates the continued focus on the wrong set of tax returns. While spending years speculating wildly on the contents of Trump’s financial records, both the liberal media and congressional Democrats have ignored an important story hiding in plain sight: The legally questionable tax maneuverings of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
While allowing Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. to subpoena the president’s records in a criminal probe of Trump’s businesses, seven justices demanded additional scrutiny of congressional subpoenas for similar documents. As one report described it, the justices believed lower federal courts “did not do enough to examine Democratic lawmakers’s claims that they needed the records as part of inquiries aimed at strengthening laws combating a wide range of ills including money laundering, official conflicts of interest, and foreign influence in U.S. elections.”

4. Expand Medicaid? Democrats' Plan Would Increase Waste, Fraud and Debt

Via Fox News
If Democrats can't get "Medicare-for-all," it seems they'll settle for "Medicaid-for-most." Last month, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would supposedly "stabilize" ObamaCare by lavishing billions of dollars on Medicaid. To pay for that effort, the bill's proponents envision cutting Medicare by nearly $450 billion over 10 years.
Democrats are also lobbying states to expand the program to able-bodied, low-income adults. Despite a Republican governor and Republican-controlled state legislature, voters in Oklahoma approved Medicaid expansion June 30. Missouri voters will consider a similar measure Aug. 4.

5. All Mail Elections Would Undermine the Integrity of the Ballot Box

Anyone who supports converting America’s elections to a full vote-by-mail system needs to consider the many pitfalls that make it unworkable and dangerous to the integrity of the democratic process.
The primary issue is one of scale. The sheer number of ballots that would be mailed to wrong addresses would be staggering. The state of Oregon has been using mail-only elections since 1998.  The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) found that during the 2018 election, of the more than 2.8 million ballots the state sent out, roughly 60,000 were undeliverable. Even after two decades to make it work, Oregon still sees a significant percentage of ballots fail to make it to their intended recipient. Given this fact, imagine how many undeliverable ballots would be floating around all 50 states.
