As you approach your next chapter, I encourage you to continue working hard and dreaming big. HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital recently hosted the first-ever reunion for former NICU babies. Wyatt Mata is a recent NICU grad after spending nearly three months there. His parents said they are thrilled to be able to reunite with the doctors and nurses who helped them. The event featured inflatable playground activities, a face painting station, and a photo booth. Organizers said they hope to see the reunion become an annual event. Read more here. |
Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) officials are shining a spotlight on members of the local Perry Police Department (PPD) for their part in raising the spirits of a young long-term care patient at the local facility. After 108 days at the local hospital, this long-term patient received a gift from local PPD officers, who also provided a police escort home after he was bid farewell by a line of more than 50 DMH employees. The 2022 Florida FFA Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event recently took place at the University of Florida. This event included eight evaluation courses, oral reasons, and team exercises. The Lafayette FFA Chapter’s livestock evaluation team finished third, making this the 10th time in 12 years their team finished in the top five. The team will be recognized at the 94th Florida FFA State Convention in June. Read more here. |
