This Week in the Office of Senator Marco Rubio 

On Wednesday, I released a report called “Fighting for Florida: Mid-Term Update” detailing my legislative accomplishments in 2020 and the landmark laws I wrote over the past four years. A non-partisan analysis produced by GovTrack ranked me as the second top leader compared to all Senators in 2020. The same analysis found I was the second top leader in 2019, the fourth top leader in 2018, and fifth top leader in 2017.  Read more here.

  

On Wednesday, I published an op-ed in Florida Today discussing the NASA Perseverance rover’s historic touch-down on Mars and the need to ensure that the United States remains prepared for a new contest among the stars. Read the full article here.

  

On Wednesday, I congratulated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and their loyal fans, for becoming Super Bowl LV champions. I also applauded the Senate passage of my resolution, with Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), recognizing the team’s extraordinary accomplishment. Read more here.

On Wednesday, I released a statement after Secretary of State Blinken announced the Biden Administration would resume funding to the World Health Organization (WHO). Read more here.

  

On Friday, I released a statement as the Biden Administration marked the end of the Migrant Protection Protocols, and began letting an estimated 25,000 migrants with active cases in the “Remain in Mexico” program into the United States. Read more here.

  

On Friday, as Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, I released a statement after the Biden Administration eased sanctions on the Iranian regime in an effort to restart nuclear talks. President Biden previously said the United States would not ease sanctions before Iran stopped enriching uranium beyond the limits of the dangerously flawed Iranian nuclear deal. Read more here.
