Biden may have made a big mistake in his answer on oil

HeadlineBig mistake? Biden says he’ll ‘transition’ from oil industry, Twitter explodes: ‘Might have sealed the deal’

What's Up: Joe Biden admitted he plans on quickly moving America farther away from fossil fuels should he be elected as president. The declaration appeared to catch President Trump by surprise. But Mr. Trump seized on the opportunity and used it to define the differences between the two men. It's especially big because Pennsylvania, a key swing state, relies heavily on jobs connected to fossil fuels.

Quote: "'Would he close down the oil industry?' Trump asked. 'Would you close down the oil industry?' I would transition from the oil industry, yes,' Biden responded. 'That’s a big statement,' Trump shot back.." — DailyWire.com

The First take: We see this moment as one of the biggest wins for Mr. Trump in last night's debate. Last week we suggested "fracking and packing (the courts)" could be important wedge issues for Donald Trump. Joe Biden appears to have gone "all in" on expediting America's push towards alternative fuels and that could be a deal breaker for voters in states like Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and the very fracking-friendly state of Pennsylvania. Trump's path to victory relies heavily on PA, and this could have just pushed him over the edge.

Who won the final debate? Snap polls say different things

HeadlineWho Won the Final 2020 Presidential Debate? Several Snap Polls Reveal a Winner

What's Up: Last night's debate was won by... it depends on who you read, watch or talk to. Of course the MSM outlets like CNN were showing Biden won comfortably. However, the big conservative outlets were showing President Trump trounced the former Vice President.

Quote: "Viewers were split, however, on whether the debate was a force for good or not, with 46 percent calling it positive and 43 percent negative." — Mediaite.com

The First take: We expected the post-debate polls to elect the inherent and obvious editorial bias in most media outlets. However, we wanted to point out the difference in the size of the victories each candidate enjoyed. For example, Biden's margin of victory in the CNN poll was about 13 points. While the president was winning the DailyWire.com poll, 95% to just 4% for Biden. The enthusiasm gap may prove to be the difference maker on Election Day.

Hunter's ex-business partner says Joe Biden is lying and he has proof

HeadlineI met Joe Biden for an hour to talk about his family business in China and have three phones to prove what he knew

What's Up: Tony Bobulinski, a Navy veteran and former business partner of Hunter Biden, held a pre-debate press event to announce he was turning over evidence which should substantiate the claims made by the NY Post that Hunter Biden was peddling influence and access to his father to foreign governments and companies.

Quote: "‘I will be providing to the FBI the devices which contain the evidence corroborating what I have said so I will not be taking any questions at this time,’ he told reporters who make up President Donald Trump’s traveling press pool." — DailyMail.co.uk

The First take: Considered to be a stunt by many in the MSM, we view Bobulinski's story as one step in the process of connecting the dots between Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and the many alleged deals that may have generated millions of dollars for the Biden family. As the Senate and the FBI are currently looking into this story, we'll reserve judgement at this time.

"We owe them" - Biden pledges amnesty for illegals in first 100 days

HeadlineJoe Biden Vows Amnesty for All Illegal Aliens in First 100 Days: ‘We Owe Them’

What's Up: The topic of immigration was featured in last night's debate with both candidates playing to their base. Donald Trump talked about legal immigration while Joe Biden made a bold declaration promising to send Congress a "pathway to citizenship" for everyone in the country illegally.

Quote: "'Within 100 days, I’m going to send to the United States Congress a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people,' Biden said." — Breitbart.com

The First take: We would rate this topic a "push" on our debate score card. Biden's immigration declaration likely played well in Democrat-controlled states while giving President Trump the opportunity to question why the former VP couldn't get the job done during the eight years the Obama - Biden team controlled the White House. But as Bill O'Reilly said on last night's post-debate special: Where does Biden think the money for the sudden influx of people that will be using government services like medicare and medicaid is going to come from?
