Dear Conservatives,
In his State of the Union speech, President Obama doubled down on his failed policies.
He believes Washington can create a more prosperous future for all Americans.
But government spending doesn't create jobs.
Despite the trillions squandered on the failed stimulus and bank bailouts, the lowest percentage of Americans are working since the days of Jimmy Carter.
As government has been expanding, opportunity has been contracting.
But there is another path.
We need to return money to consumers and business owners through lower taxes.
And we need to unleash job creation by eliminating regulations that force business owners to jump through hoops and increase operating costs.
The democracy of the marketplace is how we will create jobs and drag our economy out of the stagnation created by failed big government policies.
Government programs and make work government jobs don't encourage opportunity.
The failed "war on poverty" has only fostered dependency on government.
I discuss these issues and how our conservative values expand opportunity and forge a path for economic growth in my response to President Obama's State of the Union speech.
So I hope you'll take a few moments to watch my rebuttal by clicking here.
I thank you for your time,
Senator Rand Paul
P.S. After you watch my speech, please chip in a contribution so I can continue to help lead the fight in the Senate against President Obama's big government agenda.
