year, House leadership took a vacation and scooted out of town, even as
abortion-funding ObamaCare was breathing down our necks. This year,
they are running away AGAIN!
The "talk-is-cheap" cowards of Congress are at it again! Just DAYS after we successfully gained pro-life traction on Capitol Hill with the committee passage of H.R. 7, the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act," they undercut our fight to protect innocent life by blowing town for another recess.
Wednesday,
Jan. 22, 2014 during the March up the Mall, and the noon rally is when
they SHOULD be joining their pro-life base without fail, standing with
us in solidarity and proudly upholding the PRO-LIFE legacy of the Party
of President Ronald Reagan. The Republican Party supports "…unalienable
personhood, from the moment of conception until death" – they SHOULD NOT
be running away and certainly not hiding!

Last January 22, on the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), A NURSE with 40 years' experience,
made her stand against abortion, lobbying Congress to ban ALL abortion
providers from receiving any federal funds, including Planned
Parenthood.
"Last year alone, more than one million babies were aborted in the
U.S.," Black said on Jan. 4, 2013, when she reintroduced H.R. 217, the
Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act."One fourth of the more than one million abortions last year were administered by Planned Parenthood – America's largest abortion provider – and taxpayers unwittingly helped foot the bill."

217 was first introduced two years ago by former Rep. Mike Pence
(R-IN). It was referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce
and it stayed there while more than two million babies were murdered
under the politically correct banner of "women's rights" – actually the
intrinsic evil of child killing."Amends the Public Health Service Act to prohibit the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) from providing any federal family planning assistance to an entity unless the entity certifies that, during the period of such assistance, the entity will not perform, and will not provide any funds to any other entity that performs, an abortion."H.R. 7 on the other hand prohibits expenditures authorized or appropriated by federal law or in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by federal law (federal funds) for the purposes of providing an abortion.
The key provision here is
that it also prohibits federal (and D.C.) funds from being used for any
health benefits coverage that includes abortion services!
UNLESS CONGRESS INTERVENES, ObamaCare is expected to fund
as many as 115,000 abortions just this first year alone, so H.R. 7 is
one ObamaCare 'fix' that we can live with – and that will literally save
lives!If signed into law, H.R. 217 will SAVE LIVES by barring all Title X federal grants – our taxpayer dollars – from going to abortion-providing organizations, like Planned Parenthood.
By passing H.R. 7 and H.R.
217, OUR elected officials can end much of the abortion industry,
because let's face it – these vile baby-killing 'doctors' are in it for
the money.
This year, as the March for
Life goes largely uncovered by the pro-abortionist "women's rights"
mainstream media, millions of us who can't travel to the nation's
capital are taking to the Internet, to email, to the phones and faxes.
We are demanding that Congress take IMMEDIATE action to protect babies
from Barack Obama's lethal "women's rights" distortion that prioritizes
convenience over the life of a child – and that they CUT OFF our tax
dollars to the abortion murderers.
On this 41th anniversary of Roe v. Wade,
we remember the 56 million babies who have been aborted and the
millions of women and men whose lives have been directly blighted by
abortion. As Rep. Black has said, "To stop the injustice of abortion we
must strengthen our resolve to communicate the real impact of abortion.
We must [use] education, we have to expand adoption opportunities, and
prenatal care, as well as help to strengthen families and advance
pro-life legislation."
"We must press on with hope
that one day we will live in a country where each and every life – born
and unborn – is respected, valued and given the opportunity to pursue
his or her dreams."
