Dear Friend,

I want to congratulate one of our own who is going to Super Bowl LVII. Janarius Robinson, a Bay High School and Florida State University alum, will represent Florida as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. I would also like to shout out to the five other FSU Alumni that will play in this year's Super Bowl - Josh Sweat, Roderick Johnson, Marvin Wilson, Derrick Nnadi, and Joshua Kaindoh.

Good luck to both teams and all FSU Alumni. Here are some more good news stories from Florida's 2nd District -

Students at both Washington County middle schools recently participated in the National BETA Club's Florida State Convention, and many took home some of the event's top awards. Students from Vernon Middle School took home five first-place awards, four second-place awards, and three third-place awards. Students at Roulhac Middle School left with four first-place finishes and three second-place finishes. Congratulations to both middle schools! Keep up the excellent work! Read more here.

Tallahassee Community College chairman Eugene Lamb and Florida Board of Governors chairman Brian Lamb are the embodiment of the saying “like father, like son.” The Lambs both have been serving as chairmen appointed by multiple Florida governors. They both were all-state high school basketball players who went on to play college basketball. And, quite often, they are told they resemble each other. Read more here

Nestled in the Seaside Central Square sits Sundog Books, a locally owned bookstore that has been voted the number one bookstore in Florida by Southern Living. You'll see books stacked from the floor to the ceiling as you enter the store. Customers say there is a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is always ready to help. So, if you are ever in Seaside, take a moment to stop into Florida's favorite bookstore and find your next favorite book! Read more here.
