Finding Common Good

  • Senator Rubio spoke at the third annual National Conservatism Conference , hosted in Miami, about what divides Americans today and how to build a new governing consensus.

Celebrating Floridian Nominations

  • Senator Rubio released a statement on the nominations of Markenzy Lapointe to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida and Roger Handberg to be U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. 

Supporting Latin America 

  • Senator Rubio spoke at a press conference condemning the Biden Administration’s lack of support for freedom in Latin America. 

  • Following the press conference, Senator Rubio questioned Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Brian Nichols at a Senate Foreign Relations hearing on the administration’s actions regarding the Maduro regime.  

Honoring the Abraham Accords 

  • Senator Rubio released a statement commemorating the two-year anniversary of the historic Abraham Accords.  

Addressing Foreign Threats 

  • Senator Rubio spoke on the threat of the Chinese Communist Party at a press conference at the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China’s summit in Washington, D.C.

  • Senator Rubio appeared on Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss the ongoing crises made worse by the Biden Administration. 

  • Senator Rubio joined The Brian Mudd Show to discuss Florida, his pro-life work, and his predictions for the Miami Dolphins. Afterwards, he joined Louder with Crowder to discuss the cigar industry, the current state of politics, and more.

Op-eds

  • Senator Rubio addressed the Biden Administration’s neglect in addressing the fentanyl crisis on Fox News and Diario las Americas . Following the op-ed, Senator Rubio introduced his bill to make the distribution of this deadly drug a felony murder charge when it results in death of the user. 

  • Senator Rubio wrote an op-ed in the Palm Beach Post making the case for trade petitions to protect Florida growers.

  • Senator Rubio published an op-ed on The Daily Wire exposing the Far Left’s climate “whataboutism.” 

Letters

  • Senator Rubio, along with Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Rick Scott (R-FL), sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Xavier Becerra demanding information regarding allegations of misconduct and conflict of interest in Alzheimer’s research. 

  • Senator Rubio, Senator James Lankford (R-OK), and 10 other Republican senators sent a letter to U.S. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona with concerns over a proposed rule to expand Title IX. 

  • Senator Rubio and U.S. Representative Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) sent a letter to Kela Chao, Acting Chief Executive Officer of USAGM, and Sylvia Rosabal, Director of the OCB, sharing their opposition to layoffs at the Office of Cuba Broadcasting. 

  • Senator Rubio sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling for sanctions on the Algerian purchase of Russian weapons. 

Legislation 

  • Senator Rubio introduced his Providing for Life Act , pro-family legislation for a post- Roe America. 

  • Senator Rubio introduced the Felony Murder for Deadly Fentanyl Distribution Act to make the distribution of deadly fentanyl chargeable as felony murder. 

  • Senators Rubio and Kevin Cramer (R-ND) introduced a bill to criminalize protesters who block interstate highways. 

  • Senator Rubio, along with Senators Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and John Cornyn (R-TX), introduced a resolution commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month. 

  • Senator Rubio, Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), and 37 Republican colleagues introduced the START Act in response to the Democrats’ lack of progress on permitting reform legislation following the passage of the $749 billion climate and tax bill. 

  • Senators Rubio, John Cornyn (R-TX), and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) introduced the Securing American Acquisitions, Readiness, and Military Stockpiles Act to quickly replenish U.S. defense stockpiles. 

  • Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Senator Rubio joined his colleagues in introducing a posthumous bipartisan resolution to honor her life and legacy. 

  • Senators Rubio and Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced the Strengthening Entry Visa Enforcement and Restrictions Act of 2022 to prevent Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi from entering the United States.
