Hope Over Adversity

Hope Over Adversity

 April 16, 2022

Adversity is everywhere.  These last two years have seen disease, social chaos, economic struggles, political conflict unlike anything we have ever seen, and now war, and the possibility of famine.

Disease has visited us.  Whether real, imagined, or manufactured, people have died.  We were told the only treatments available were masks and vaccines. They lied. The medical establishment lost much credibility and the federal government lost any they had left.  The ‘state cure’ is showing itself more dangerous than the disease, with millions of vaccine deaths and cases of injury the world over with signs of being pre-planned.

God is forsaken, evil is sanctioned

The political landscape has never been more contentious, certainly within the last 100 years.  We see politicians struggling for power, putting Party over country at every opportunity, the people hardly an afterthought.  Our system of government we held dear has gone rogue, weaponized to go against its own citizens.  The nation’s foundation has developed serious cracks, a split no longer inconceivable…two sides, no longer finding common ground.  Domestic enemies have been allowed to flourish to the point where they now hold the highest offices in the land.

Perversion is everywhere. Even science shows itself to be an aberration. We can now choose not only our gender, but our species.  Corporate America has bought into the debauchery, insisting the 1% should dictate how the 99% should live.  We see an education system that teaches, not love of country, but hate, even to the teaching of young children sexual abnormalities for which they have no understanding, innocence destroyed.

God is forsaken, evil is sanctioned.

We have war in Eastern Europe. A fuse has been lit with the possibility of engulfing the world, and maybe that is what they want.  There are those in high places that want to expand this war with no thought of the suffering and death.  There is always the suffering and death.  Political and financial elites have shown themselves to be uncaring, except for the cherishing of their fortunes and status.  They hold on to it with a jealous rage.

That old enemy, Famine, has slinked onto the stage, watching for weakness and for those unprepared.  It has been planned by shadowy forces, and their desire for people to come to a point of desperation, agreeable to any alternative.  And alternatives they have.

No one from the government is coming to save us

No one from the government is coming to save us.  The response to lawlessness has been a deafening silence…the government being hopelessly corrupt.

We have all been through much, the shadowed places and chaos.  We could use optimism and a reason for hope.  Yes, hope is not a strategy, but with hope comes strategy.  And with a strategy comes the people and our God.  And a mighty God He is.  We cling to that hope for

God is still in charge!

On Sunday, millions of us will celebrate Easter, a season of hope, and renewal. We also recognize Passover, celebrating the end of slavery.

But, above all, we remember and celebrate that God often chooses to accomplish what he does best, the impossible.

...and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.—2 Chron. 7:14
