I'm John James, and long before I decided to run as a conservative for Congress in Michigan, I served our country honorably as an Apache Pilot and U.S. Army Ranger.
At age 17, I signed up, determined to serve my country, graduated from West Point, served as a pilot in Operation Iraqi Freedom, leading two Apache platoons.
After 8 years of service, I returned home, but that passion for serving my country and community never left me.
I went to work in our family's automotive supply chain business, eventually working my way up to running the company, where I’m proud to have created over 100 jobs in Michigan and across the country.
You see, my family’s story is living proof that the American way of life works. In 4 generations, we went from slave to sharecropper, sharecropper to mason, mason to truck driver, and poverty to prosperity in 1 generation.
Only in the United States of America is that possible!
These days, my wife, Elizabeth, and I are busy raising our three sons, active members in our local church, and enjoying the great Michigan outdoors.
Co-Pilot, I often think about how far my family has come through sheer will, hard work, and determination, and I worry about the America that my sons and the next generation will grow up in.
We’re rapidly approaching an America where this won’t be true anymore, where the American Dream will be nothing more than a myth, and where the only people who can prosper are a little wealthy elite in Washington.
We are at what President Reagan referred to as ‘A Time for Choosing,’ and we as a nation must choose which path we wish to follow.
I choose exceptionalism over entitlement...
I choose achievement over apathy…
I choose freedom over socialism…
I refuse to let the American Dream die with our generationーI know the stakes are high, but I put my oath to protect our Republic above all else.
Now, I’m asking YOU to choose to preserve the American Dream and pass it onto the next generation or watch it disappear and fade with ours.
Thank you,
John James
