PERSONAL THOUGHTS SHARED:
Jesus Christ lived, as no intelligent student can deny. He died after six hours of pure agony, and to make certain of His death, one of the soldiers on this crucifixion detail pierced His side with a spear causing the last drops of His blood to come out proving His love was stronger than death. These soldiers who had carried out the death detail were quite satisfied, and even mocked that Jesus didn’t take long at all to die. These facts reflected in the hopelessness of His disciples. As the afternoon sun gave way to a strange darkness never before seen the disciples surrendered to a weighted sadness never before felt by any of them, and they looked at one another in great puzzlement and grief, and they had no words. Their King had been crucified like a criminal. Their Messiah ending up not on a throne, but on a cross. Hailed as a King only days prior, and dead like a common thief on Friday. These eleven men were the very picture of hopelessness…utterly crushed…beaten…disappointed possibly quite embarrassed for their public stand with this now dead leader was widely known.
The governmental authorities, the church leaders, those throughout the community and state who were VIPs all mocked, “He who said He could summon twelve legions of angels to His assistance, died crying that He was forsaken. He will trouble us no more.”
Then came Sunday morning, and … HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH!! For Jesus Christ has Risen…He has Risen, Hallelujah, He has Risen!!

Lord Jesus, may we never again think and act as if you were dead or even separated from us. Let us more and more come to know you as the Living Lord who promised to each who believed: “Because I live, you shall live also.” Help each of us to remember that we are privileged to pray to the Conqueror of Death, that we may no longer be afraid nor be dismayed by this world’s problems and threats – for You, Lord, have overcome the world. Thank you dear Jesus, dear friend…thank you! I pray this in Your strong Name, and I ask for Your living presence and Your victorious power to flow thru me. This I pray in Your Name Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen –
