AMERICAN ENERGY ALLIANCE 02/12/2021

Conservatives,

Who wins after President Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline with the stroke of a pen?

Not American workers — approximately 11,000 jobs on Keystone with an estimated $800 million in wages for 2021 were quickly lost. Not American allies — Canada’s Prime Minister has spoken out against the Biden policy and a Canadian province may sue. Not everyday Americans either — you and I now face higher energy prices and reduced energy security.

But China, Saudi Arabia, and other often-hostile foreign regimes are celebrating.

Thanks to President Biden’s anti-American-energy policies:

The U.S. will hand over our energy-producing superpower status to countries like China. While President Biden has shut down a critical pipeline project here, China is seeing the importance of a national oil and natural gas pipeline network and buying pipeline and storage facilities valued at 39.1 billion yuan ($55.9 billion).

The Chinese economy will boom with an increase in their affordable energy — and enable them to continue to invest in energy production, both at home and abroad.

> The U.S. will trade energy security for reliance on OPEC. Rather than have us refine heavy oil sands from our ally and neighbor Canada using the Keystone pipeline, President Biden wants to power down our energy dominance entirely, starting by pulling the plug on the Keystone Pipeline. That puts us on the fast track for a return to reliance on Middle Eastern countries … and to the increased potential for volatility in our energy prices.

The U.S. will depend on China more than ever. President Biden and radical environmentalists want to replace affordable, abundant, and reliable natural gas, oil, and coal with intermittent “green” technology.

To make matters worse: the supply lines for solar panels, wind turbines, and lithium batteries are overwhelmingly dominated by China. Today China manufactures more than 70% of the world’s solar panels, and it dominates 80% to 90% of the supply chain for rare earth minerals used in nearly all green technology, from electric vehicles to wind turbines. That means President Biden will replace America’s energy producers and workers with “green” dreams that are made in China. Literally.

Conservatives, President Biden and the green left are moving quickly to impose their anti-American-energy agenda.

But I know that our future is still bright because activists like you are ready to work with the American Energy Alliance and speak up in defense of a truly pro-American energy agenda that fuels our freedom and our way of life.

Your commitment to America’s energy future is more important now than ever. Thank you for your support.
