Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Jon Ossoff will host a virtual fundraiser Tuesday with progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who has pushed the Green New Deal and Medicare for All.

Warren’s fundraising with Ossoff raises questions about Warren’s own progressive agenda.

Warren supports the single-payer healthcare program Medicare for All. Medicare for All would eliminate Georgians’ private health insurance.

2. Newly Uncovered Writings Show More Evidence Of Warnock's Support For Marxist Ideology

Raphael Warnock’s history of embracing troubling ideologies continues to haunt his Senate bid in one of two runoff elections in Georgia. After refusing to denounce Marxism during a debate with incumbent GOP Senator Kelly Loeffler, newly uncovered writings from Warnock show his support for Marxism and Socialism.

Senator Loeffler’s campaign laid out evidence of Warnock’s praise of Marxist ideology, as present in his writings.

As the two runoff elections solidified, Jon Ossoff has teamed up with Warnock in the quest to unseat both Sens. Perdue and Loeffler. Ossoff called Warnock a “moral leader for our state and country,” even while his troubling past continues to become public knowledge. Sen. Perdue’s campaign wondered on Tuesday if Ossoff backs Warnock’s embrace of Marxism, calling his refusal to condemn Warnock’s support for communist ideology “a profile in cowardice.”

3. Don't Let COVID-19 Lockdowns Become A Permanent Power Grab

By Ben Shapiro via RealClearPolitics

This week, as Los Angeles County announced it would lock down all outdoor dining, a video went viral. That video featured restaurant owner Angela Marsden, proprietor of the Pineapple Hill Saloon and Grill, decrying the lockdown policy while pointing to the erection of production catering set up for a Hollywood shoot just a few feet away. "Everything I own is being taken away from me, and they set up a movie company right next to my outdoor patio," Marsden said, adding that she has spent approximately $80,000 complying with the requirements of LA County, only to see it shut down her business completely.

There is no scientific policy justifying LA County's outdoor-dining shutdown. In fact, during a Board of Supervisors meeting, a community member quizzed LA County Health Officer Dr. Muntu Davis on the evidence to support such a ban. Muntu provided no such evidence, likely because there is none.

But those who want to run their businesses in a safe and secure fashion are being targeted nonetheless by a political class incentivized to pursue tyranny rather than rational policy. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti -- who told police to stand down as rioters tore through his city during a pandemic -- said that his "heart goes out to Ms. Marsden" and then added, "No one likes these restrictions, but I do support them as our hospital ICU beds fill to capacity." He explained, "We must stop this virus before it kills thousands of more Angelenos." He did not explain why, if outdoor dining was so dangerous, Hollywood is still allowed to engage in it.

4. Joe Biden’s HHS Nominee Wants A Complete Government Takeover Of Health Care

Via The Federalist

Early Monday, Joe Biden announced his intention to nominate California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, D-Calif, as U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services. Like Biden, Becerra stands as a career politician, having served continuously in elected office since the age of 32.

But unlike Biden, Becerra does not attempt to disguise his support for socialized medicine. He has supported a single-payer system for decades and continues to do so. The nomination provides further evidence that Biden’s policies belie his “moderate” label.

5. Biden’s EPA Frontrunner Worked To Ban Gas-Powered Cars

Via The Washington Free Beacon

President-elect Joe Biden may tap a California bureaucrat who worked to ban gas-powered cars to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, fueling opposition from some activists.

Mary Nichols has been touted as a leading candidate to head the EPA thanks to her record as chairwoman of the California Air Resources Board. In 2019, Nichols threatened to ban gasoline-powered vehicles in the state after President Trump rolled back vehicle emissions standards. In September, Nichols made headlines for her plan to transition to zero-emission vehicles in California by 2035, weaning the state off of gas-powered vehicles. As of 2018, electric-powered cars comprised only 1 percent of all vehicles.

Some activists said Biden should avoid a radical environmentalist agenda that ignores social and economic costs when addressing climate change. Robert Dillon, an adviser to the free-market environmentalist organization ConservAmerica, told the Washington Free Beacon that Nichols's record should draw bipartisan concern.
