Trump surprises Dems with pitch for individual COVID relief bills

Headline: Trump says he’s willing to sign independent COVID-19 relief measures

What's Up: A few hours after announcing he was stopping COIVD-19 relief negotiations with Democrats, Donald Trump dropped the second shoe and let the world know what he was really doing.

Quote: "'If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy?'" — via Twitter.com

The First take: Trump's showing the career politicians how the business world works -- again. The president's walk away from Pelosi and the Dems' demands for a massive, pork-filled bill tripped the stock markets (see bonus story below) but it was only temporary. What we really want to know -- Didn't anyone in the Pelosi-led caucus read "he Art of the Deal?" This is classic Trump negotiating.

Bonus: Stocks rebound after Trump offers COVID relief

Biden: No second debate if Trump still has COVID-19 virus

Headline: Biden: 'We shouldn't have' second debate if Trump still has COVID-19

What's Up: We are seven days into Donald Trump's battle against the Coronavirus and based on all reports out of the White House, the president is winning the battle. That said, Joe Biden told reporters he did not believe the second presidential debate should occur if Trump still has the virus.

The First take: Our initial response to Biden's declaration -- Thanks, Captain Obvious. If the President still has the virus by next Friday, there is something flawed with the current diagnosis we are getting from his doctors. We are hearing Sunday and Monday will tell the tale. If the President is still without a fever or symptoms, we should be headed to debate #2.

The Take: The original version of the stimulus bill, presented by Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, called for the creation of a ‘digital dollar’ and the establishment of ‘digital dollar’ wallets. This digital currency could also be used to track everything you buy or sell… Your privacy and economic freedom could be gone.

Trump gives OK to totally declassify all "Russia Hoax" documents

Headline: Trump Says He Has Authorized ‘Total’ Declassification Of Documents Related To ‘Russia Hoax’

What's Up: In typical Trump fashion, the president used Twitter to announce he had finally authorized the release of all documents related to the Russia "hoax" and Hillary Clinton's email scandal. And, he added "No redactions!" to the announcement.

Quote: "I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!" — Trump

The First take: Was this an "October surprise?" Technically no. The president has repeatedly talked about releasing all of the documents related to the Russia investigation into his campaign the he has also branded as a "hoax." While we are pleased to see this news, we won't truly be happy until something actually becomes of it. We're not holding our breath.

NBC's "undecided" voters were pro-Biden (and the network knew it)

Headline: NBC News’ ‘Undecided’ Voters Previously Featured as Biden Supporters on MSNBC

What's Up: Last week's NBC News Town Hall with Joe Biden was billed as the former VP taking questions from "undecided" voters. We now know the participants peppering Biden with softball questions were anything but undecided. In fact, some were previously featured on MSNBC explaining why they liked Biden.

Quote: "Lawyer Peter Gonzalez and marketing executive Ismael Llano posed questions to Biden during a town hall on Monday, when he appeared before what the network described as an 'audience of undecided Florida voters'. Both Gonzalez and Llano, however, were featured in an MSNBC segment in August to explain why they support Biden." — FreeBeacon.com

The First take: Did NBC News NOT think the rest of the mainstream media would be doing a background check on the people they claimed were "undecided?" All one had to do was check he social media accounts of the participants to expose the "fake news." We're not certain is this was intentional journalistic malpractice or just laziness.
