RUSSIAN SUBS IN ATLANTIC!

Britain's nuclear submarines become outnumbered as Russian vessels flood into the North Atlantic - as Putin reopens missile base near UK targets......

27 October 2020

Britain’s nuclear submarines are outnumbered by Russian vessels flooding into the North Atlantic, while Vladimir Putin has reopened a cruise missile base within range of UK targets, The Mail on Sunday has learned.

The terrifying surge by Russian subs into waters previously controlled by the Royal and US navies is part of a provocative new Cold War strategy by Moscow, say military experts.

Earlier this month, the head of the Royal Navy, First Sea Lord Admiral Tony Radakin, confirmed that Russia is ‘more active in the Atlantic – our backyard – than it has been for over 30 years’. And he warned that China could soon pose a threat to British waters.

Are they seeing a much weakened and distracted America and her allies in the aftermath of next week’s election??  Have they devised an evil plan?

at Russia's Arctic Coast.

Naval sources report the upsurge involves Russian Akula-class submarines, equipped with the latest stealth technologysailing close to the UK’s coast.

The new threat comes as Russia appears ready to resume the testing of nuclear-powered cruise missiles capable of reaching Britain at a previously dismantled launch site near the Arctic Circle.

A source said: ‘The sheer number of Russian submarines entering the North Atlantic is overwhelming”.

‘The tactics adopted by their captains are deliberately provocative and highly dangerous”.

‘While our Astute-class submarines sailing from Faslane in Scotland are a match for their best submarines, the Russians are sometimes deploying two or three submarines into our areas of operations where previously they would have sent only one.

The war-gaming and manoeuvring has never been more intense, especially when we are unable to precisely locate our enemies. The situation is serious and must be addressed by the Government before it is too late.

The current hotspot is a stretch of water between Greenland, Iceland and the UK called the GIUK Gap.

A strategically significant passage, it is a choke-point for submarines where they can be identified by other navies. Alarmingly, the latest generation of Russian submarines can apparently pass through the Gap undetected before heading towards Britain.

First Sea Lord Admiral Tony Radakin, confirmed that Russia is ‘more active in the Atlantic – our backyard –

than it has been for over 30 years’.

Rear Admiral Chris Parry said: ‘We face a stark choice. If Britain is to be protected in any future conflict, there will need to be substantial investment in our anti-submarine technologies and skills. We have catching up to do.’

It comes as US academics studying satellite imagery report that Russia is preparing to use a test base for advanced nuclear-powered weapons at a site known as Pankovo, after recently recording high levels of activity there.

Warning of another potential threat, Admiral Radakin said that the shrinking of the polar ice cap by so-called global warming could allow Chinese submarines easier access to our waters.

‘When China sails its growing navy into the Atlantic, which way will it come – the long route, or the short?’ he said. ‘These routes skirt the coast of that resurgent Russia.’

Russia Vows 'Solidarity' with Syria, Conducts One of War's Deadliest Strikes…..

Russia has reiterated its unwavering support for Syria, where it launched one of what reports estimate to be one of the near-decade-long conflict's deadliest strikes, killing dozens of insurgents in the country's renegade northwest.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met Monday with Syrian ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad for a discussion in which the two "exchanged views on the current situation in and around Syria," according to a Russian Foreign Ministry readout.

Bogdanov, who serves as special presidential envoy for the Middle East and African countries, emphasized Russia's "unfailing solidarity with the Syrian people, support to its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, as well as its readiness to continue efficient cooperation in restoring the socio-economic infrastructure of the Syrian Arab Republic."

The official Syrian Arab News Agency reported that the two discussed ongoing efforts to defeat an insurgency holding parts of the country's northern border with Turkey, which sponsors a number of opposition fighters in the region, including the north-western province of Idlib.

That same day, Russian aircraft bombed a camp belonging to the Turkey-backed Faylaq al-Sham group in Idlib's Jabal al-Duwailah region, killing up to 78 fighters and wounding 90, figures expected to rise, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a U.K.-based monitor with ties to Syria's exiled political opposition.

Drone footage purporting to be of the strike was shared by the Abkhazian Network News Agency, a Russia-affiliated outlet from the separatist state of Abkhazia that is widely recognized as part of Georgia. It appeared to show the attack occurring as the fighters held a military parade, likely contributing to the high number of casualties.

Graphic footage from the ground appeared to show scores of bodies wrapped in blood-soaked blankets in the aftermath of the raid. Hours later, mass funerals were held in the city of Idlib.

Israeli Officials: Saudi Peace Deal Possible before US Election….

According to assessments in Jerusalem and Washington, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin-Salman wants normalisation with Israel, but his father, King Salman, is blocking the initiative for the time being.

In the footsteps of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan, Israeli officials are now expecting the main prize: a treaty with Saudi Arabia. Officials in Jerusalem and Washington alike are hinting heavily that the Saudis are nearing a decision to recognize Israel.

With that, there are still no assurances Saudi Arabia will join Sudan, which this weekend became the fifth Arab nation to declare the establishment of peaceful relations with Israel.

Regardless, all signs indicate that the treaties with the UAE and Bahrain were greenlighted by Riyadh.

By all accounts, it did so mainly because the Gulf states want to create a diplomatic-security bloc against Iran under the patronage of US President Donald Trump. The goal is also to help Trump get re-elected and to create facts on the ground just in case Joe Biden wins the US election.

Sudan, formerly a pro-Iranian country, announced it would open talks with Israel to secure a peace agreement.

It will become the third country to join the Abraham Accords framework initiated by the Trump administration. In the coming days, delegations from both countries are expected to meet publicly to tangibly advance normalization.

In Ezekiel 38;13 Sheba and Dedan [now the region of Saudi Arabia] appear to stand back with other nations and simply question the Gog of Magog invasion of Israel from the north in the “latter days”, asking them weaklyif they are come to ‘’take a spoil’’.

For this to occur they would need to be in a reasonably peaceful relationship with Israel. Interesting days just ahead?
