#WeAreTheField June Update  The Primary Election is upon us!

Following the primary elections, we will have our slate of Republican candidates and the fight to Turn Nevada Red will continue! If you have not already voted via absentee ballot or early vote, don't forget to vote on Election Day next Tuesday, June 12th! In the meantime, we hope you’ll join us for our Get Out The Vote Primary Push starting this weekend. This is a prime opportunity to join our massive grassroots volunteer army and help us turn out voters on Primary Election Day.   Finally, and as always, we remain incredibly thankful to our volunteers for their time spent organizing communities across Nevada, and we look forward to seeing all of our teams' hard work pay off in 2018 and beyond! #LeadRight #WeAreTheField

Highlights on Our Progress Training In order to register, persuade, and turn out voters we need a well trained grassroots army of volunteers. Since June 2017, we have trained more than 1,500 volunteers through the Republican Leadership Initiative. We are excited to see the difference our team members will make in the upcoming election. To read more about our training program check out this recent article. Meet the Staff We are happy to announce this month we are expanding the NVGOP team! We are bringing on more Field Organizers to help recruit and train more Neighborhood Team Members across the state!

May Recap

Nevada Week of Training May 25-31 The enthusiasm for the Republican Party was loud and clear during Nevada Week of Training. In just one week's time we were able to train more than 150 new volunteers for our upcoming Get Out the Vote efforts. We appreciate everyone who came to a training and helped to recruit their friends and neighbors to join us in the fight!

National Day of Action May 12   All over the nation Republican activists joined forces to participate in the May National Day of Action. In one day, we were able to contact tens of thousands of voters all over the state. We will continue these efforts to mobilize and activate volunteers for voter contact now through Election Day.

Asian Cultural Day May 18 We were excited to participate in the Connect with Asians in Nevada event hosted by the Asian Cultural Alliance. Our team was able to address the diverse crowd and share Republican values as well as celebrate Asian Cultural Day. The crowd was energized by our message and we responded to our call of action to get involved. In fact, we were able to recruit dozens of volunteers and register new voters.

Civic Sundays Sundays We are also grateful for the opportunity to partner with numerous churches to conduct Civic Sunday Voter Registration Drives. We have already registered dozens of voters and are working to expand our efforts into a church near you. A huge thank you to New Hope Las Vegas Christian Fellowship, Palabra De Vida, and Trinity Assembly of God for allowing us to come register your congregation!

Armed Forces Day Celebration May 19th It was great joining the Mineral County Republican Party and Dean Heller's Campaign for the Hawthorne Armed Forces Day Parade and Celebration. Here at the Republican Party, we believe that every day should be a celebration of our Armed Forces, so it was especially great to celebrate this month in Hawthorne.

Jim Butler Days Celebration May 26th We had a blast at the famous Jim Butler Days Parade in Tonopah. The rich history of rural Nevada always provides a great campaign atmosphere. We thank our voters for their positive response and unparalleled support. We always look forward to participating in traditions such as Jim Butler Days Parade!

#LeadRight Spotlight Fellow of the Month: Natasha Alvarenga

Natasha hit the ground running this month when she heard about the fellowship program at her school! We knew she would be a rock-star fellow as soon as she got involved. As a natural leader, Natasha has put her skills to use and has already begun to organize and recruit community members to join her in the #LeadRight movement. We are so appreciative of all her hard work and dedication to our movement.   Natasha says, "I am just starting to learn about politics and with the Republican Leadership Initiative program, I am gaining a better understanding of what it is all about. I decided to get involved because it is something I've never done before … It would be great if other youth members got involved because we should be more educated in politics. I'm working to spread the word about this program by communicating with my peers about the opportunities available and how they can join the team."   We appreciate your drive and hard work bringing other members of the youth community into our party. Keep up the great work!
