Is America Denying

God

Part 2

 

 

First Europe began to deny God and now America has begun to follow in their footsteps. Although America ’s citizens saw God protect us throughout the years we now are passé to His wishes. We, the Americans who have received God’s protection and grace have begun to ignore His Majesty.

 

Just as the Israelites saw God as He protected them and performed miraculous acts, they later built a false god, a golden calf and began to worship that instead of God.

 

Many may ask, ‘Just why do you claim that God protected America in the same way as He protected the Israelites. Where is the cloud that they followed by day and the fiery sky that led then by night? What about the Red Sea ? What water has He rendered safe to pass through?

 

To those that are the naysayers as they deny the very existence of God I reply thusly:

 

The cloud that led the Israelite by day can be seen as the U.S. Constitution that God, through His created being, authored. It has led us Americans throughout our existence as a nation. The fiery sky that led the Israelites by night can be seen as the many inventions God has allowed us to discover that has made our lives safer and led us through wars that were monumental. The parting of the Red Sea to allow safe travel can be seen as the many laws that protect our safety as we live our day to day lives.

 

God has not abandoned America but America is seeking to abandon God as quickly as possible.

 

In my last weeks sermon I related just how America is beginning to deny God. Our lawmakers have even begun to dream up outlandish laws that, if enacted, fly in the face of the U.S. Constitution, the cloud that guided us for so very many years.

 

The so called ‘Hate Crimes’ Legislation would silence Pastors for speaking out against sins such as homosexuality, perversion as well as others. Sermons based upon such Scriptural passages as; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Leviticus 18:23 and 20:21; Romans 1:27 and Jude 5:7 could result in that sermon being judges as a ‘Hate Crime,’ and the Pastor fined and jailed for preaching God’s Word!

 

Abortion, both immediately as learned of by any woman and after carrying a baby for 9 months is ruled as legal! That is murder but, if the non-believers have their way, speak out against it and that is a ‘Hate Crime.’

 

Just as in many countries of Europe , American Legislators are contemplating decriminalizing the use of drugs! Why? Tax revenues is one reply but the real truth is, let them do anything they want to do so long as we are seen to be the benefactors and gain their votes!

 

In San Diego , California a Pastor and his wife have been threatened with prosecution for holding a Bible study at their own home! The County Supervisors have ignored the U.S. Constitution that guarantees such Rights as Free Speech, Freedom of Assembly and most of all, Freedom of Religion. This is yet another example of America turning its back on God!

 

We regularly see false prophets as they claim to heal, stage fake ‘holy works,’ and perform ‘miracles,’ and no County Officials threaten arrest of them!

 

There are true miracles but many deny them as such. I have been pronounced as a person who ‘would not speak intelligibly in this lifetime,’ in March of 1995. A month later I delivered a speech to the owners of the hospital where I heard those words! God chose to visit a miracle upon me and yet the hospital owners chose to ignore it as a ‘mere’ chance event. How utterly lacking of faith are those people? 

 

I have witnessed things, as you must have in your years on earth that can be explained as but one thing, a miracle from God!

 

Friends, there will be an increase of ‘healings’ that will be the works of God and no other. This is set forth in the Bible. Just within the last few weeks I received a prayer request asking that I pray for a young boy that could lose the sight in an eye. I prayed, as I am sure others did, and soon word was received, the boy had been taken to a hospital far from home and a doctor there recognized the problem and rendered treatment in the form of a medicine that totally alleviated the problem.

 

Any that denies this as a miracle best think on it! Had that self same problem reared its head prior to the discovery of that particular medicine…well…?

 

Malachi 4: ² But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.

 

Let us be the people that teach of the faith in God, His Holy Spirit and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us show that although our fellow citizens are in denial of God that He does exist and is worthy of His nation! America !

 

Satan can only stand fast where there is fear and unbelief.

 

James 4: ⁷Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

 

How many of us are guilty of allowing Satan to run roughshod over our faith with little or no resistance? Satan has succeeded in corralling up vast numbers of our fellow citizens and it is up to us, by the power of Jesus Christ to, to set them free!

 

The people that are corralled by Satan’s wiles are caught up in a spirit of bondage. Hopelessness, boredom, materialism and joyless are the traits of those that seek to deny God. Hopelessness, the lack of  any idea as how to live in happiness; bondage, living for governmental handouts; boredom, hearing the same old promises from their elected leaders that never seem to materialize; materialism, trying to outspend the Joneses with limited means, and joyless, the attempt to deny those of us who are truly happy and have faith in God above.

 

God has promised many things to those that believe in Him and folks, those promises are everlasting!

 

The Holy Spirit lies upon and within only those that have asked Him to rest upon them, live in their hearts and guide their paths. Joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit and we must bear witness to His Majesty. Show your joy as you sing praises to Him! He will allow His children to prevail against the wicked of this earth.

 

Malachi 4: ³ Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the LORD Almighty.    

 

God has delivered His promise and we must rely upon Him that created us!

 

Joy, happiness awaits true believers.

 

Isaiah 61:  ¹ The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,  ² to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn, ³ and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning,  and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

 

To do our Christian duty and to stand in the path of those that would deny God here in America we must be firm in our Christian beliefs, stalwart in the face of those that would seek to demean our ways and willing to undergo prosecution for our beliefs!

 

If, and I repeat the word ‘IF,’ we are steadfast the demons will flee! Almighty God has promised this and I ask each of you to pray as you ask God for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit that will be so very breathtaking so as to have you “leaping as a calf from the stall.” (Malachi 4:2 in part)

 

God has indeed sown “oaks of righteousness,” in this earth and we must withstand the winds of those that would deny God is rightful due!

Almighty and Loving God, Father, we come to You at a time in our lives when the rigors of government imposed actions are weighing heavily upon us. It is only by our faith in You that we can lift our heads as we are beset by those bound to destroy us. Father, their actions are that of the foolish that refuse to see the power of Your Divine Ways .

 

Lord we come to You in worship and with heavy hearts due to the evils we face daily. We know of Your Word speaking of governmental obedience and are trying but when that government denies You we doubt their very honesty.

 

Father, we as that You be with us and send Your Holy Spirit to guide us through these times most perilous. We ask that You touch the hearts of those elected officials that are worthy of You and that the others be removed as only You are able to remove them. You are out God and we have no doubts as to Your absolute powers.

 

We ask that You bless and protect our military, our judges, police, security personnel and our many brothers and sisters throughout the world that need Your Divine protection.

Lord, we especially ask that You embolden Your children in Iraq who are facing brutality and inhumanity. Be with them and strengthen them in body as well as in spirit. If they are killed please have Your angels bring them to Paradise.

 

These things we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, out Lord and Savior who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,
