Judge rules Ten Commandments monument must go
The city of Bloomfield violated the constitutional ban on establishment
of religion by erecting a Ten Commandments monument on the lawn of city
hall, Senior U.S. District Judge James A. Parker said in a 32-page
opinion filed Thursday.

IRS says 99 churches worthy of 'high priority examination'
Churches might want to be aware that some of them are under
investigation by the IRS. Kristina Arriaga, executive director of The
Becket Fund, points out that a lawsuit filed against the IRS by an
atheist group has revealed the IRS is investigating some churches for
allegedly violating the Johnson Amendment.
