Republicans Begin Laying Ground Work to Walk Away From Obamacare Opposition
Conservative and Republican affiliated groups have started the 2014 assault against Democrats who support Obamacare. At the very same time, it is increasingly clear Republicans are laying the groundwork to abandon their opposition to Obamacare.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post

You Need Ben Sasse in the Senate
Right now you need to go to Ben Sasse’s website and give him every penny you can muster.
National Review has declared him the next big thing. He’s considered an intellectual heavyweight on healthcare. He is opposed to Obamacare and pledges to fight for its full repeal. He is a committed, pro-life conservative.
But because he is being supported by conservatives, including the Jim DeMint created Senate Conservatives Fund, the Republican Leaders in Washington, and their affiliated lobbyists, have begun helping his opponent. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
Obama on Iran: Give Peace A Chance
When President Obama says “give peace a chance”, in light of his well-established foreign policy timidity and on top of that, the recent revelations about his partisan and selfish thinking on Iraq and Afghanistan as revealed by Robert Gates, one has to wonder. Is his priority in dealing with Iran protecting American lives and interests? Or is it just protecting his political legacy. The Great GOP Establishment Amnesty Swindle
Something peculiar is happening on the immigration front in Washington.  With an eerie resemblance to the drumbeat leading up to Obamacare, Republican leaders are creating a sense of urgency that immigration must be addressed now.  And much like Obamacare is doing to our already-broken healthcare system, their proposals will exacerbate the very factors that have broken our immigration system over the past few decades.
However, GOP leaders know that their party base is not buying their sense of urgency, their understanding of why our immigration system is broken, and their solution to “fixing” it.  And unlike Democrats who seek to empower and energize their base to fight Republicans, GOP leaders are planning to bamboozle the base into supporting them in 2014, only to drop the hammer on them a year later. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
The Google Trap
If you are not really into technology, you probably do not care that a company called Nest has been purchased by Google. I had been on the verge of installing a Nest thermostat in my house. Last week I determined it was compatible with my existing system and off to Lowe’s I intended to go.
But I do not think I will now. I, like many, have become more and more concerned about Google and its disregard for my privacy. But what is more striking is how difficult Google can be in the labyrinthine bureaucracy of a massive corporation. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
