CONSERVATIVES MUST TAKE THE SENATE TO UPHOLD THE U.S. CONSTITUTION

Fellow Conservatives:

The 2014 Republican primary elections for U.S. Senate are ramping up and our conservative candidates are on the move.

Please read this update and forward it to your friends and family so they can help us change Washington.

NEBRASKA | Ben Sasse

Ben Sasse (R-NE)Ben Sasse (R-NE) was on the cover of National Review. The profile story ("Obamacare's Nebraska Nemesis") highlights Sasse's determination to stop Obamacare. He calls it an example of "what government can’t do well, wasn’t built to do, and inevitably fails at."

Sasse also demonstrated why he's the best candidate in this race when he went head to head with the liberals on MSNBC's Morning Joe. He effectively explained why Obamacare is destroying our health care system and how free-market reforms will empower Americans with high-quality, affordable care.

Unfortunately, the Republican establishment sees Sasse as a threat and is actively working against him. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) opposes Sasse despite the fact that he would give Republicans a powerful voice on one of the biggest issues facing our country.

KENTUCKY | Matt Bevin

Matt Bevin (R-KY)Matt Bevin (R-KY) raised $900,000 in the last three months of 2013 -- a massive amount that shows the growing momentum of his campaign. It's the biggest single fundraising quarter of any of our endorsed candidates so far.

Bevin also gave a major policy speech and launched a new web video highlighting the core themes of his campaign. "This election is a choice," he says. "Will we continue to give more power to this little intellectual elite or will we start down a new path -- a path that empowers people to make decisions in their own lives?"

Mitch McConnell's campaign faces a big challenge as more and more people realize that he's headed for defeat in the general election. If McConnell wins the primary, he will most likely cost Republicans the seat and perhaps even the Senate majority. He must be replaced in the primary.

MISSISSIPPI | Chris McDaniel

Chris McDaniel (R-MS)Chris McDaniel (R-MS) spoke out against the 1,500-page, $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, which busts the budget, funds Obamacare, and includes a number of liberal policy riders. However, McDaniel's primary opponent, Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS), voted with the Democrats to help pass the bill.

McDaniel continues to attract support from top conservative groups. He has been endorsed by the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, Madison Project, FreedomWorks, and Tea Party Express and is the only candidate who has won the support of all five.

State Senator Michael Watson wrote a powerful op-ed in the Jackson Clarion-Ledger explaining why people should vote for McDaniel. Watson said, "It is rare to find a political candidate sufficiently firm in his principles that he will not be swayed by threats or peer pressure. The voters of Mississippi are lucky to have such a candidate -- my close friend and colleague Chris McDaniel."

KANSAS | Milton Wolf

Dr. Milton Wolf (R-KS)Dr. Milton Wolf (R-KS) continues to prosecute the case against his primary opponent, Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS). Wolf recently highlighted Roberts' vote for the $620 billion fiscal cliff tax increase and called on him to oppose the next increase in the debt limit -- something Roberts has supported 11 times before.

Wolf also announced PatientCare, a 17-page plan to replace Obamacare. Wolf's plan would create a patient-centered, market-driven health care system that offers Americans high-quality, affordable care.

Wolf won the endorsements of RedState's Erick Erickson and the Madison Project, which praised him for his "command of the issues" and "dedication to conservative values."

LOUISIANA | Rob Maness

Col. Rob Maness (R-LA)Col. Rob Maness (R-LA) has now established himself as the true conservative in the race to replace incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA). Maness has steadily built support among the grassroots while his chief Republican opponent, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA), has sought the support of the Washington establishment.

Cassidy joined Mary Landrieu in voting for the $1.1 trillion omnibus bill and showed voters once again that there is little difference between himself and his Democratic opponent.

Meanwhile, Maness won the endorsement of Gun Owners of America for his strong positions on protecting our 2nd Amendment rights.
