SEN RAND PAUL OPPOSES RYAN/MURRAY BUDGET PROPOSAL

Dear Conservatives,

There is a recurring theme in Washington budget negotiations: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."1

The Budget Control Act of 2011 established a spending level of $967 billion for next year.

While these cuts were small and only a first step, they were were at least something.

But now, that is being thrown away, and Washington is being led back down the path to higher spending.

The budget negotiated by Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) kills the sequester cuts and boosts spending over $60 billion to over $1 trillion!

This deal increases our debt by over $7 trillion over ten years.

And it raises taxes as well.

You and I need to stop this in its tracks.

That's why I need your help right away to kick-up a grassroots storm to try and stop this madness.

Please contact your representative right away by calling (202) 224-3121 and demand they reject another Washington gimmick budget where today's spending cuts are bartered away for supposed spending cuts in the future.

I cannot support a budget that never balances and piles up over $7 trillion in debt over the next ten years.

And to make matters worse, this budget raises "fees."

Rather than address Washington's spending problem, this budget digs farther into your wallet and wipes out the small spending cuts which were the law of the land.

So please contact your representative right away at 202-224-3121 and insist they vote no on this budget that never balances, raises fees and piles up trillions in new debt.

Thank you for your action.

In Liberty,

Senator Rand Paul

P.S.  After you call your representative, please chip in a contribution so I can continue to lead the fight in the Senate against the big government politicians who pile up debt and raise taxes.
