California Gov. Jerry Brown signed part two of the California Dream Act into law thispast Saturday. The law REQUIRES taxpayers to shell out $14.5 million a year in state grants to illegal immigrants to help them pay for college with state grants. Brown attempted to downplay the costs to Americans by saying the bill would affect only 1% of the $1.4 billion in annual Cal-Grant funding. The California Dream Act was forced upon taxpayers without regard to balancing the state’s budget when it is broke, has raised tuition, and has cut services to legal residents. The Obama administration on Tuesday accused agents of the Iranian government of being involved in a plan to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the thwarted plot would further isolate Tehran.
