NEVADA - ADAM LAXALT FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

Former Navy Prosecutor Adam Laxalt Announces Campaign for Nevada Attorney General
“I’ll Fight for a Stronger, Safer and Freer Nevada”

Dear Fellow Nevadan,
Today, along with my incredible wife and beautiful 10-month-old daughter, I am announcing my campaign for Nevada Attorney General. As a native 4th generation Nevadan, I am worried about the direction our state is headed and the constant federal overreach eroding our freedoms.
After experiencing the horror of September 11th, I was called to serve my country. As a United States Navy prosecutor and federal prosecutor I know how to seek justice for victims and how to protect our families and communities. I also volunteered to serve in Iraq, and there we prosecuted some of the world’s most dangerous terrorists, keeping our troops and the world safe.
I now feel called to serve our great state. Fighting crime and an overreaching Federal government will be my top priorities as your Attorney General and I would be honored if you’d join me . This election will be hard fought, but I’ve never backed down from a challenge and like our country, I know Nevada is worth it.
I am ready to serve.

Sincerely,
Adam
Adam Paul Laxalt

Seen in this image is "Abu Dujana al-Amriki," who identifies himself as an alleged al Qaeda fighter from the U.S. American officials have not been able to identify the young man and suspect the video could be part of an Assad regime hoax.

Dozens of people from the U.S. who fought in Syria have returned home and are under FBI surveillance, but American officials fear that they haven't identified all of them, several senior officials told ABC News in interviews beginning last October.

DEMS FOCUS IS ON UNEMPLOYMENT WHILE GOPS' IS ON JOBS!

After five years in office, President Obama still doesn’t have an answer for one of the biggest questions facing middle-class families: where are the jobs?  What’s more, instead of coming up with an answer, his priority is unemployment and making it easier to live without a job.  As Speaker Boehner has said many times, in the House, “the people’s priorities are our priorities,” and nowhere is that focus clearer than on jobs:
THE HOUSE
  • “John Boehner and GOP plan to focus on jobs” (Washington Examiner)

  •  “House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) underscored that Friday when he said Republicans would rather focus on employment than unemployment.” (Huffington Post)

  • “Boehner stated that House Republicans would continue to focus on creating jobs for Americans in 2014...” (Free Beacon)

  • “Boehner and his leadership … repeatedly reminded reporters … that the House has passed dozens of proposals to spur economic growth…” (The Washington Post)

  • “This week, prominent House Republicans -- from Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., to Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis. -- have made pitches to help Americans rely less on the government and more on a healthy economy.” (U.S. News & World Report)

  • “Republicans, meanwhile, responded to Friday’s jobs report by arguing that the government should be facilitating more job creation -- not more government assistance.” (CBS News)

Government Retaliates Against Navy Chaplain who Sued over Government Shutdown of Catholic Mass

Father Ray Leonard, the Catholic Navy Chaplain who sued the Department of Defense and the Navy after he was barred from celebrating Mass at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in Georgia during the recent the Government shutdown, is now the target of Government retaliation even though the Department of Justice indicated the day after the lawsuit was filed that he could resume his duties as a Navy Chaplain.

The retaliation involves repeated Government assertions that the employment contract under which Father Leonard was working is no longer “valid”, demands that he must sign a new contract containing several pages of onerous new terms if he wants to be paid and refusals to pay for services he had already performed.
