Missouri Democrats Introduce Legislation to Confiscate Firearms – Gives Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Weapons

Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, February 14, 2013

Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals. They will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed.
Dana Loesch Radio reported on the new legislation being pushed by Missouri Democrats:
Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.

JUST WHAT IS THE FDA DOING? UNDER OBAMA-NOTHING!

Imported seafood is full of chemicals, drugs and feces - yet the FDA inspects hardly any of it

(NaturalNews) Most imported seafood, including shrimp, is from large fish farms in Asia, including China, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. There are also seafood or fish farms in Canada, Mexico, and South America that export to the U.S. and others countries.

Fish farming is just that. Breeding, cultivating, and harvesting fish from ponds, drainage ditches, or cages in lakes and even the open sea. There are also green houses with large containers of water. Unusual tropical fish, catfish, and salmon are farmed and sometimes deceptively sold as wild caught.

MUTH'S TRUTHS 02/14/2013

Lynn Warne’s Worthless Steaming Pile of Cow Dung
By Chuck Muth
February 14, 2013

I’m trying to figure out who is more revolting in their disdain for America’s success stories - the President of the United States or the president of the Nevada teachers union.

Barack Obama spent the first four years of his presidency hunting down, Ahab-like, “the wealthiest among us” and finally got his pound of flesh at the conclusion of the fiscal cliff-hanger last month.  He’s now back in his boat, harpoon at the ready, looking for a sequel.

For her part, Lynn Warne and her unionized public school teachers are attacking Nevada’s largest employers and targeting them with a new business tax, not only claiming “the rich” aren’t paying their “fair share,” but are screwing our kids in the process.

Warne should be ashamed of herself.  But she’s not.  She believes she’s entitled to money earned by others.

To hear such green-with-envy liberals tell it, “the rich” have somehow unfairly benefited from the opportunities this country makes available to ALL Americans, including those who don’t have, like Obama, an Ivy League education.

It’s pure, unadulterated horse manure.  Here’s the untold story these class warfare warriors won’t tell you.

Obama attempting to change face of the judiciary
By NEDRA PICKLER, AP
February 15, 2013

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is trying to change the face of a federal judiciary that has a long tradition of white men passing judgment on parties from all walks of life — if he can get his nominees past the Senate.
Republicans have used the powers accorded the Senate minority party to slow Obama's influence on the federal bench. But recent changes to Senate rules suggest the process may begin to move faster, at least at the lower, U.S. District Court level.
Under a recent bipartisan agreement, the Senate will limit debate on district court judge nominees to two hours, far below the 30 hours that used to be allowed. The hope is that will curtail a tradition that dates back to the Clinton administration of the president's opposing party stalling judicial nominees.

MEDIA RESEARCH CENTER SPEAKS OUT AGAINST LIBERAL MEDIA

Dear Conservatives,

We have an opportunity to do something big. Really big.

It's the option to buy a massive amount of ad space in Times Square New York City and put up FIVE "Stop Censoring the News!" billboards.

Last week, MRC announced our groundbreaking "Stop Censoring the News!" campaign designed to expose and neutralize the liberal media's shameless censorship of all news that threatens to derail the Obama Administration's radical second-term agenda.

The five billboards will be seen by over 1.4 million people each week during their run and are a crucial part of our campaign to hold the media accountable for censorship. It would be a shame to miss out on this rare opportunity due to a lack of funds.

The billboards are available starting next week, and we are reaching out to all of our loyal supporters across the country to help us fund this advertising effort.

The fact is the MRC did not budget for this. They just became available, and given what is at stake for our nation, this is the perfect opportunity to send a powerful message to the liberal media.

RedState Briefing 02/15/2013

Morning Briefing
For February 15, 2013

1.  Peddling Tolerance
Twenty years after I arrived and sixteen years after I graduated, I returned to my alma mater,Mercer University, to deliver their Founders Day address yesterday. It was a wonderful experience.

Founders Day started in 1891, twenty years at Mercer moved its campus from Penfield, GA to Macon, GA. During the 1960′s the event declined in prominence until it stopped altogether. The year I started Mercer the Student Government Association restarted Founders Day, which made it kind of cool that I was the speaker on the twentieth anniversary of the restart.

The Student Government Association at Mercer is an exceptional organization that has long had the respect of the faculty and administration. I spent three years as Parliamentarian of the student government and two as the University’s Chief Justice. As always, the SGA hosted another excellent event.

As exhaustively reported in the local media, my presence caused some controversy, though clearly the press was disappointed the expected protests and walk outs did not happen at the event. Southern manners typically override everything else.
