'To hell with the American people... we simply don't give a damn that the clear majority of Americans have told us NOT to raise the debt ceiling... we need to squander more of their money. After all, it's not THEIR money... THE MONEY PEOPLE EARN THROUGH HARD WORK AND SWEAT IS REALLY OUR MONEY... and as long as WE make a "deal," THEY'LL just have to learn to live with it.' Effectively, that's what they're telling us. They just don't get it. They haven't learned. They're still meeting in secret, behind closed doors, because if the American people could hear what they were saying, they'd march on Washington with torches and pitchforks... and while Rome burns, they're playing Let's Make A Deal with the future of our children and grandchildren.
