LOUISIANA - SEN LANDRIEU IS IN HOT WATER! TURN UP THE HEAT!!!

U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu first rode her Father's name recognition to election in 1996. In that time she has twice been re-elected thanks to her running as a moderate. Unfortunately, many of the Senator's actions during her tenure have been anything but moderate. Here are 5 reasons that 2015 should bring with it a new Senator for Louisiana.

LOUISIANA - LANDRIEU VIOLATES RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT, NOT PAYING PROPERTY TAXES

Things aren't going well for Senator Mary Landrieu's re-election campaign.

First, USA Today reported that the Louisiana Democrat billed taxpayers $47,000 for private airplanes. Then CNN discovered that some trips were for her campaign.

Now we've learned that Mary Landrieu doesn't live in Louisiana anymore. The home where she's registered to vote is not her primary residence.

According to papers filed with the Senate, Landrieu actually lives in a $3 million home in Washington, DC.

If this weren't bad enough, she also FAILED TO PAY her property taxes on this home after voting for higher federal taxes.

Mary Landrieu doesn't want to pay her own taxes, but she's perfectly happy to raise your taxes so she can fly on private airplanes.

Transfer Tax on Homes in Louisiana

98% of the people in Louisiana are NOT familiar with this tax on the ballot for Nov. 19. This is a tax that both buyers and sellers of a home in Louisiana will pay at the time of sale of their home if this tax is ever passed . As an example, if you sell your home for $250,000, both buyer and seller will each pay to Louisiana $4,925.00 as a transfer tax. This tax will be a closing cost on the HUD (settlement statement) at closing. And, if this tax is ever passed, it would most likely be raised again in subsequent years. We would encourage everyone who lives in Louisiana to go to the following website:http://www.staytaxfree.com/ On the home page there is a calculator that figures the tax you will pay at closing if this tax is ever passed. This is the tricky part: Most people who are not aware of this tax will just click "NO" on the ballot thinking they are voting against the tax. But, they will then be voting FOR the tax.
